Wonderful development on the nose opening up with caramel oak, morello cherries and some liquorice. Sweetness on the palate with jammy red berries and some dried herbs still showing some austere tannins on the finish. (Best 2018-2028)

Still young. Better at cellar temperature or somewhere below room temperature. Tannins are not harsh. Healthy acidity that works so well with food. Drink or hold.

(Decanted for one and a half hour) Deep red colour with a pleasant nose showing violets, warm fruity note combined with some wood, fresh herbs and forest floor in a nice and pleasant way. Tannins still showing on the palate with an intense fruity sweetness and a lengthy finish showing some herbs. Nice and pleasant, and should reward a few more extra years of cellaring. Still young but developing. Good balance and can hold up against tomato-based sauces. Nice nose after breathing an hour, got better while in the glass. Tannin is there, but not overwhelming in the least. A strong Chianti Classico. Drink or hold.

Opened the first bottle of six that I have in the cellar. It has low acid, flavours are of cherry primarily and a hint spice. Overall, this was light in body, and I was expecting more oomph!

2h air and ate with Pizza. Medium/Deep Purple color. Aromas of blackberry, red currant, mushroom, dried herbs and a hint of spice at the end. Fresh on the palate, with dark berry flavors and a silky texture. Tannins are a bit chewy and green, and dominate the finish, though a hint of anise comes through as well. Not as good as I recall, but still a solid value and very drinkable.

90-120m of air prior to drinking. Medium/Deep Purple in color.
Strikingly earthy aromas of red cherry, red currant, clay pot and dried herbs. Lively and structured earthy flavors dominated by mixed berries with just a hint of anise (mid-palate/finish). Silky texture and medium body. The finish is extremely satisfying.

Beau vin de repas. Bien laissé respirer pour permettre au bouquet de s'ouvrir. Dans mes souvenirs, j'avais été par contre plus impressionné. Tout de même un bon Q/P**$$

Solid Chianti, great QPR. The nose has classic sangiovese earthiness, but the red cherry and red currant are ripe. There are lovely notes of clove to it. On the palate it shows firm tannins and good mouthfeel. Ripe red berry with a pinch of white pepper.

Decanted for several hours to open up itself. Now showing a smooth palate with softening tannins and lots of cherry fruit. Nose was showing forest floor and vanilla oak at first, but later more herbal notes. This was drinking very nicely already, with a long decanting but should evolve for another half decade or so.

Brick red, garnet, no sediment. Dry and quite sharp. Not as fruity as expected. Tannin dominating, but not sure how this would age. Went well with risotto. Bitter cherry finish.

Dark garnet. The nose is just showing some red cherry, vanilla and mineral. Tasty food friendly flavours and a dry finish. Light tannins and a fair bit of acid.

Nose with herbs, oak, cherries, some licorice, cough medicine and Tuscan earth. Palate with sweet cherries, oak with vanilla, earth & licorice. Medium tannins. Decent & reliable Chianti that went quit good with a creamy and cheesy pasta. Points given for the combo.

A nice, typical Tuscan from the Baron. Cherries in abundance. Cherry stones. Other red berries. Wild raspberries. Acidity at a pleasant level, medium tannins. Long, pleasant finish with a mix of different red berries accompanied by dried fruit.

Not showy or obvious, but subtle and nuanced. Herbs, silky texture, delicious. Can’t remember cost, but has to be worth it.

God lukt av søte modne kirsebær. Rødlilla klar relativt lys farge. Tørkede syrlige røde bær. Litt tørrende. Muligens litt spinkel.
