First few hours, the cabernet franc green pepper is dominating and also feels more sweet&sour on the palate, but after many hours of decanting it is back to the seamless, sweet fruited, but pure and fresh expression that mimics right bank bordeaux and Ridge Zinfandel blends. I think this is going into dormant phase of its life, but there is surely something really interesting on the other side. Wait and see would actually be my advice at this stage.

Black-purple color, and tastes the way it looks. Benefits from careful decanting as there is sediment floating (not clumps at this age), otherwise fairly clear. A bit sour for all the intense fruit, but they go well together and it softens up with some air. Black cherries, not sweet. Well-integrated tannins, not much oak. Quite enjoyable, if not terrible exciting. Could go with a lot of foods.

Different expression now, with more structure surfacing, especially day two. Has that sweet fruit which is all Malbec, but without any cloying vanilla. And that morphs into something that feels like a hybrid between a bordeaux blend - right bank - and a better zinfandel. Great freshness and structure. Love it.
We drank this with some flank steak tacos and Vietnamese style spring roll with korean bbq style grilled pork belly. Excellent pairing.

The colour is deep purple and reminds me of traditionel cabs. Nose of Violets and Cassis. On the palate fresh berries, Black currant, unripe (green) strawberries without being sour. Obviously High in acid (gives somewhat a sparkly feel due to being unfiltrated), Low on tannins and have a smooth integrated level of alcohol. Personally I'm excited about this blend of Malbec, CabF and CabS.

Wow! That's the freshest argentinean wine I've had. So fruity, so fresh and with structure and balance and a lovely complex finish that makes you want another sip.. Tastes more like a young Beaujolais than oaky reds from southern cone. This is a versatile wine that will do very fine in the cellar as well for sure!

This is wine is full of black fruit, a bit hot, herbal notes and acidic. I don't pick up on any oak - no vanilla or softer notes. Nice wine with some cheese - didn't pair well with steak which needed more traditional Cab. An interesting and unusual wine.

Popped and poured. Opaque purple colour – almost black. Slightly restrained nose with hints of dark forest berries, liquorish and some unusual citrusy notes I normally associate with IPA. Huge concentration and viscous texture, but not a lot of complexity – we’re talking black fruit all the way. High acidity, moderate tannins. Good balance and nicely integrated alcohol. Displays some green notes towards the finish that I’m not sure what to make of. Very different to what usually gets poured at my house, and consequently difficult to score. There are obvious qualities here, but this wine will certainly divide opinions – I haven’t really made up my mind yet.

Malbec, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv blend. Dark purple color. Plum, leather and blackberries. Good structure. Takes a bit to open up. Best on second day.

Quite remarkable intense nose with dark berries, spices and minerals. Sweet intense fruit under a mineral grip and bright acidity. Superb.

See previous note – strange wine, but pretty good with home made burgers.

Unique, fruity but different smell. Smell and taste are two interesting things with distinct differences.

Matter of Taste: Wine Advocate Tasting (Miami, FL): 90% malbec, 5% cabernet sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc. Funky and fun, but not for me.
