Still deep color. Lots of black and blue fruits in the nose with hints of minerals. Black cherries, blueberries, black raspberries with licorice and spice in the flavor. A rich, well balanced wine with nice complexity, full bodied, and a long finish.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A full-bodied Rhone blend, with flavors of blueberry, black raspberry, and cassis, finishes with licorice and Asian spices. In a good drinking zone. Linne Calodo is a great place to visit if in the Central Coast area. www.winelx.com

An outstanding wine with great depth and structure, but it really needs more time or a long decant. I pnp with an aerator but it didn't really come into its own until the last glass at 3+ hours. I'll wait at least two years to open my last bottle.

Unchanged from previous tasting of 11/30/2019. Enjoyed at Red’s Bistro in Loomis as we emerge from Covid-19 restrictions. Strong nose of dark berries with a bit of power. Flavors of blackberry, violet, and a feral, earthy undertone. Matched my Hoisin Pork Chop perfectly.

Initially it overpowered the turkey so we stayed with Pinot Noir through dinner and had this a couple hours later. Primary blackberry/blueberry with a perfect weight & mouthfeel. Night after it was more balanced with the berries and alcohol more subdued. Has plenty of years left.

This will likely continue to get better over the next 5 years, but it is drinking really nicely now. A beautifully smooth and complex blend of red, black, and blue fruit on the palate and nose, with tastes of woody spice. Long finish.

Drank after a one hour decant. Still a little young and probably just approaching the drinking window. Nevertheless a big cdp with plenty of fruit. Medium tannins with a long finish.

Damn! Swirling magenta in the glass contrasts with day-old cut grass in a barn at the end of the day. And then... where in the world did this bouquet of freshness come from?! My palate dances with the brightness of berries kissed by sunshine. Lovely finish and a gorgeous wine. Stems up!

The Chateauneuf blend with Syrah over-weighted at 40%. Took a while to open, was only 91 after 40 minutes in decanter. I'm no good at describing aroma but the nose was big and wonderful, better than the palate. It gradually came around and really popped with the pasta after two hours. A beautiful California CDP, big and full yet smooth. This will be even better in two or three years.

This wine is incredible, gorgeous nose that is full, structured, and a balance of fruit and savory spice, full dark fruit on palate with spice a medium acidity which elevates the mid palate, medium finish.

Juicy grenache fruit in a lower acid, softer texture format dominates the other Rhone varietals. Nice aromatics with ripe fruit and savory notes on the finish. Drinking nicely at this point. Doesn't seem built for long term aging.

(from memory) Dark inky purple, subtle nose of cherry liqueur, black plum, black pepper and mission fig, syrupy palate with red and dark fruit, easy tannins and spice, finish is rather straightforward and dominated by prune with touches of cherry, heat and baking soda

Decanted for 2 hours, drank over 2 hours. Expansive nose of dark cherry and fruits, medium finish punctuated with a peppery spice, medium tannins that are well integrated. While this wine could benefit from additional aging, is drinking beautifully now.

Drank this way too young, or didn't give it enough time to breathe. Should have decanted. Last glass, about 3+ hours in, was completely different than the first glasses, and in a very good way. Red fruits began to expose themselves, as did a fair amount of spice. I'll hold off on any other notes or scores. Glad I still have a second bottle, but I'll let it set for awhile before I open it. If you do open soon, give it a good decant.

Quite robust but with an hour in the decanter it worked quite well with lamb sliders with goat cheese and roasted tomatoes.

Dark fruit with a level of spice. A little bit rustic after opening, it quickly settled down into a complex balanced wine.
Never quite got to the same level as the 2012, which we had first. But still very enjoyable.

Still shows nice grenache fruit in a lower acid, soft textured format but this bottle opened with some mustiness that never completely resolved.

At Winery: Rich, extracted, syrupy cherry and berries; a bit hot. Not a big fan. G/S/M/Cin from all their v.y.'s; neutral barrel.
