Vitis Polaris Burgundytasting; 2/8/2018-2/9/2018 (Bodøgaard Galleri): Light reddish, transparent. Nose with spices, Turkish leather shop, dried camel skin and hint of metal sponges. Furthermore, there are light fruits and sour berries. The palate has a lot of acidic fruit and acid in general. After a while a big and powerful feeling the mouth that is very comfortable. Great texture and aftertaste with wet tobacco and silky smooth leather.

Flott vin.

A very pretty nose of freshly grated ginger, rose petal and sweet earth. It is expansive in the mouth, full of red fruits, spice and mineral. There’s 100% whole bunch and it finishes with good cut.

tasted at the Domaine with Etienne. --in bottle for less than two weeks-- some of the typical NSG plum-like flavors, and a powerful wine, which has strong tannins at this stage (due in part to 2/3 whole-cluster). This should age for a very long time but is unlikely to be at peak in under 10 years. *(*)+

Domaine de Montille Cellar Visit and Tasting (Meursault Burgundy France): Barrel tasting at domaine from 1 yo barrel (cepage will be 50% new oak). 100% whole cluster. Cross-section of black and red cherry aromas and flavors. Modest spice and weight. A good NSG 1er for near-term and medium-term consumption.
