  • Tasted this originally with Laura Diaz -Munoz in Nape about 3-4 years back and kept a bottle to see what will happen. This is a high energy focused SB with strong upper register zingy disposition, yet there is a softness that works it's way into the mid palate that makes it work well with spicy Asian style dishes. A SB that can be enjoyed by Sancerrre lovers. Sampled over several days on gas and it held out very well. Nice effort here & obviously well made, but a bit pricey- then again Napa is not generally my go to region for SB

  • Local Wine Shop Tasting - Abbreviated Notes

Visual: Pale straw. Transparent. Med low viscosity.

Nose: Stonefruit, white floral, honeysuckle, white stonefruit, light pear, tiny oak hint (supposing this was not made 100% in stainless steel)

Palate: Apple, short finish. Touch of creaminess/lees character.

  • An interesting and nuanced Sauvignon Blanc. While it does have a lot of acidity from the start through to the medium length finish, it also has some captivating fruit flavors. There is a large amount of grapefruit with nuanced lemon rind with a touch of mango on the finish. The finish is medium length with lingering flavors of that mango fruit. I got better as I drank through the bottle but it's initial impressions were mediocre

  • Medium plus nose shows clean citrus, lemon zest, grapefruit, stony mineral note, white peach, tropical flowers. Palate very expressive without being TOO Sauv Blanc, if that makes sense, nice layers of citrus expression, tropical notes again like kiwi, white mango, clean presentation throughout, medium plus acidity, medium finish. Very nice example of CA and good QPR.

  • Very rich Sauvignon Blanc with great touch of acid on the finish. Stone fruit, peach, lemon/lime, melon. Well balanced and fortunate to score this @ $18.75. Good QPR at that price.

  • Very ripe with lots of straw, short for reineccasance. Powerful and rich yet with very crunchy acidity to the back of the palate. A touch of California clone 1. Stone fruit, honeydew, peach pit, lemon, lime. Egg and stainless and neutral oak fermentation. Very round on the palate. And its expensive at $30 but I suppose it shows it off.

  • Galerie Wines: Lovely floral, green apple, lime and sea salt notes on the nose. On the palate, this has a creamy presence but precision comes from pure, clean acidity. Fresh green apples and limes mix with papaya, and the fruit is laced with notes of sea salt, river rocks, minerals, dried white flowers. Hints of waxy, honeyed notes, but this is a bright and refreshing wine with a lot of complexity. Lots of seemingly contradictory elements to ponder, but the whole is so balanced and integrated.

  • Aromas of green apples, lime and lots of yellow and white floral components. Far less tropical than your average Napa Valley Sauv Blanc at this price point, this wine has a lovely flinty character with bright acid and a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Yellow and green apples mix with hints of papaya and lime. Bright, clean, crisp, refreshing minerality, an impressive effort. Those who appreciate Napa Sauv Blanc but pine for the Loire should give this a shot. Fermented in a mix of stainless steel, old French oak and concrete eggs, and aged on the lees for six months.

  • Sweet fruited with tart acidity. Its good. But not $30 good.
