Tight at first. Once it began to open up, reveals beautiful red fruit, silky, elegant - almost understated. Very long and appetizing. At or close to peak.

Pretty, color with aromas of dark woods, bright red cherry and meatiness. Revealed more effeminate textures and notes with time in the glass. Gorgeous minerals and lift as we polished off the bottle. Certainly no rush but quite nice today but needs a lot of air.

Great producer, great year, great terroir. What more can one ask for? In this case, a little more bottle age would be advised. Beautiful fragrant nose leaps from the glass. Palate has plenty of fruit, but is dominated by oak that still needs to integrate for this wine to reach it's full potential. Finishes well.

TNs: Female Burgundy Winemakers Dinner (Yan, National Gallery, Singapore): Still youthful, but this was really nice. The nose was very Gevrey, with a nice earthiness underpinning lovely wafts of red cherry, bacon and a gentle minerality. Lovely stuff. The palate still felt a little tight, but was already quite delicious. Here were powerful layers of dark cherries and wild berries playing against a solid backdrop of earth, mineral and a little spiciness - beautiful stuff. There was still quite a bit of solid 2005 structure to it though, with fine but still chewy tannins and juicy acidity leading the way into a lovely full finish that just went on and on. Beautiful stuff, and will get better with time as it softens and fans out. Lovely.

Very pretty dusty cherry nose, tea, iron and mineral aromas. I'm guessing that this cuvée has a good percentage of whole clusters (maybe 40%?) Broad flavors that fan out on the palate, starting to show secondary notes, still has very fine grained tannins that are grippy. The whole cluster also shows up in the tannins on the finish. Not a crime to open one today as the broad flavors are compelling even at 10 years of age.

Zachy's 2019/10 (Zuma): Magnum. Rotten fruit and flavor profile, uninteresting palate. 92

2oz pour @ Rebelle
I think this was my favorite of the Chambertin Grand Cru flight
First of all it's just fucking delicious. And second, there was a great tension of power and restraint that carried the wine. Lovely.
