Gorgeous with its bottle age. Still youthful with some primary fruits, with secondary characteristics coming through, but if kept well this vintage still has 10+ years of development opportunity ahead of it.

A bit harsh on day #1 with prominent acidity. Day #2, smoothing out, caramel and tootsie roll coming out towards end on palate Will save last bottle for a few more years before opening.

Andrew Will’s top selection, I was stunned at how good this was. 93-94.
This was consumed from bottle over the course of about four hours. Dark purple at the core, with just a touch of red starting to grow around the rim. The first hour this was open, it seemed disjointed as it had a pronounced herbal twang and sawdust note. Hours 2-4 this totally blossomed and became one of the best WA state cabs I’ve ever had, especially at the price. This leans to the dark fruit side of the spectrum (blackberry, black currant) highlighted by streaks of bright/high toned red fruits. Beautiful nose of tobacco, dark chocolate and mocha to go along with the fruit. Mid palate has a beautiful mineral/and scorched black cherry core and finishes with silky tannins. Extremely well balanced and seems like it’s nearing the top of its potential.

Easy 93 point wine for me. Needed about 30 mins of airtime and it was singing all night long through dinner. Full Pull special that did not disappoint and lived up to it's hype easily.

was expecting a lot better. The only other Andrew Will we had (the Champoux) was incredible and this wine was more expensive. Nice but nothing special. Hoping it has changed when we have some more tonight.

For being almost 90% cab and merlot this is certainly on the lighter side. It needs quite a bit of air and time to open up and is characterized by red and blue fruit with a peppery mineral undertone. Elegant. Better enjoyed sooner rather than later.

Even with a 3 hour decant, still didn't open up fully and felt it was too shallow on the nose and finish. Might need another year before opening. A ton of sediment on the last sip, looked like purple sand.

Taste: plum gives way to raspberry, bitter herb tannins, has good legs with 1.5 decent still improving it, at 2 hours the bitter herb is more of a raspberry tea.

needed a long 2 hour decant and by the time the fish was ready this was singing and paired so well good on it's own also held it's own against some pretty stiff overseas competition

Crystallized blue and black berries dominate a firm but fruity nose complimented by oak, cedar and chocolate toned and a touch of heat. Medium plus weight with moderate delineation and dark fruit palate leading into a medium finish with young but nice tannins. In prime drinking window I’m guessing and a nice Washington bdx blend here.

Drinking well. After about a thirty minute decant it was ready to go. Nose of anise, blackberry, and currant. Palate of herbal spice, medium acid and tannin, leather, green bell pepper, and prune.

delicious but very young and strong. very new world, and would benefit from more air and time. I have backed off from having even a second glass, and I added a bit of 2012 talbot to the first glass to smooth it out.
added later (july 2019): we had another bottle last night. Lacking any more Talbot to mix in, we easiy drank it all. In my opinion this is more enjoyable than a comparably overpriced wine like Caymus cab sav.
again, later in july 2019: having perused the recently stocked bordeaux's locally and their prices ($1800 for a bottle of 2009 latour; even the forts de latour is $300!), I am enjoying another bottle of sorella, which again seems delicious, and less overpriced than before. all is indeed relative.

Bing cherry, Indian spice, melted licorice, sandy rock and musk. Quite concentrated, with forward fruit and remains elegant, with a solid frame, yet juicy and approachable. Grainy, yet slick tannins, there’s a bright red fruit component, with earth throughout all phases of the palate; the finish is medium in length. Decant or wait a year, then follow for many. Drink 2020 - 2033.

Round 8 of wines served at NYE party. Needed a long decant to open up and show complexity. It is rich and fruit forward but also had nice structure with supporting sweet oak and bright acidity on the finish.

Dark purple very limited clarity. Nose of dark fruits, coffee, mocha and spices.
Decanted for 40 minutes and it was ready to enjoy. Nicely balanced and integrated. The dark fruits are front and center with notes of chocolate, current, coffee and vanilla spice.
Enjoyed with grilled filet, a great paring.

78% Cabernet, 10% Merlot, 6% Cab Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, some Malbec. Medium nose shows black plum, mocha, cassis, baking spice. Palate is big, full body, tannins are tight, coffee grounds, blackberry, mint, clearly a pedigree wine but it needs time too.

Dark red fruit, oak is nicely integrated and doesn’t take away from the fruit/ terroir. My mind of Cabernet

Thought I'd try again a year after my last attempt, but yikes it got even worse! Have to say that several sub-$20 reds from Safeway would outdo this.

An open and expressive Sorella. Good mix of currant and dark fruits. Balanced, complex and seemingly at peak drinking.
