PnP. Veldig pen nese.
Lett på tå i munn. Vektløs i frukten. Fine tanniner som nesten ikke merkes. Ren juice.
Flott nese, litt enkel i munn. 92-93p.

Blind. Mostly Gevrey in characters with some light greeness. Grand Cru that is slightly better than Charmes from 07/08? Drinking quite well, not much Rousseau blue fruit but decent. 93

Drunk together with Dujacs CdR 2014 and right now Rousseau outperformed it - not by much but on the day it was a couple of points above
Very very light and red fruited for a Rousseau - cherries, raspberry with hints of green pepper and tomato still. Absolutely beautiful integrated oak and silky soft tannins.
I was really surprised on how open and approachable it was at this quite early stage and some of the characteristics you sometime find in you Rousseau like green stilked, herbal and opulent wine with more spice than fruit and high tannins was nowhere to be traced here. Tasters was equally surprised. Surely can be kept for many years but if one wishes to try a “young” GC from Rousseau this is a good place to start. A true delight and true Grand Cru from a master!!

The most captivating wine today is the 2014 Rousseau Clos de la Roche. Historically Rousseau’s CldR has never been in the same league as their CSJ, Chambertin and Clos de Beze, this 2014 has led me to rethink about where it sits with the hierarchy again! Great freshness and lots of life. Flirtatious and ethereal scents of sappy raspberry and sweet strawberries. There is a tendency of cellaring wines for longer period of time especially if they are expensive, however I still believe Rousseau wines is incredibly beautiful and enjoyable at youth. Outstanding. Wow!

I am probably going to rate this higher than most at it’s present state but this was a near perfect wine for my tastes. Beautiful red and black fruits. Truffle, mushroom, beautiful acid. Supple yet not tannic at all. Extremely well balanced already. What a wine.

SLDS Single Bottle Dinner: Slate, red cherry, stems and strawberry. Lighter bodied, quite well balanced with good flow and composure. Lovely and starting to hit it's straps.

Litt stilkete, dog fine tanniner. Fikk litt lite luft, men vokser i glasset. Nydelig vin.

Some Top Shelf Burgs (My home): A bit disappointing which is perhaps due to its youth (or not). The group placed it about the same as I. Maybe it was hurt coming right after the pair of 05 Dujacs. Ruby in color. The nose is earthy and spicy with light cherries and strawberries. On the palate this is tight. The cherries and strawberries carry thru into tight layers. Nice finish. Pretty wine.

BORGOGNA NOVEMBRE 2015; 11/5/2015-11/7/2015: Barrel tasting at the domaine. Molto Buono.

Reductive start, which does blow off after 15 minutes. Floral notes open up, but feel is lean and not especially forgiving.

Very fruit forward and juicy but nice depth and minerality. Cherry, cloves, herbs…. Good but tough for the premium.

Benoit, Paris. Infanticide but none the less a beauty. Showing classic perfume, crushed roses, crunchy minerals and hints if mushroom.
