Bright ruby colored, full bodied, big, bold tangy raspberry, black currant and cherry fruits with accents of earth, anise, baking spices, leather and tobacco with firm but fine grained tannins on a bright acidic finish.
PnP enjoyed over 2 hours; last sip was the best. If this bottle is representative, it seems another year, or three, will do this good and put it squarely in its preferred window. I like the ingredients, but the whole is not really reflecting the sum of its parts just yet. HOLD. For the style, it's recommended
This bottle could not have been more different than the prior, disappointing bottle. Full, rounded, and rich, it still offered noticeable Sangiovese zing. Ready to go right out of the bottle, and held its ground through the evening.

I might have enjoyed this more if the price was in the $20 dollar range. It was surprisingly insipid for a Tuscan Sangiovese--light colored, gentle on the palate, but in the end wan and uninteresting. Perhaps the bottle had been mishandled in its life, but at the price I expect better from the supply chain.

TREBICCHIERI PRE-TASTING, nose of dark fruit, lovely and rich on the palate, medium/big body, hold for 2 years, slightly fruit forward, long finish.
