Color: dark purple/brown Nose: medium intensity. Complex red fruit, although nothing stood out Body/flavor: medium-full body. Lots of dried red fruit. This bottle was unbalanced -- still tannic. Aftertaste: unpleasant hot finish
Have some left and will taste again. Immediate advice -- drink now!

Still a beautiful wine with wonderful depth. Needed a good decant to reveal lovey acidity, rich, old fruit and lots of earth and touches of secondary mushroom and loam notes.

Decanted for thirty minutes. Sun-drenched pottery, still evident ripe red fruit, cedar, mint and used coffee grounds. Fully developed and a slight hint of polished tannin. A medium finish and a core of dark fruit on the floating palate. Drink now.

Good for 20 years old. Still some shreds of life but probably it's best days were years ago. Good color. Mild but still present tannins. Fruit and finish short lived.

This wine had more remaining structure than we had any right to expect. It was very drinkable but had lost some of its complexity. Still decent fruit. Tannins were more predominant than acidity.

Brought by kevin for new years. We feared this would be shot, but it was a nice surprise. Started out tight and closed but came on with air. Was very smooth, but medium weight. Drink up if you have it.

Pleasantly surprised! Thought it would be done by now. Tannins are gone, however, nice mint and a little black licorice on the nose. More minerally now that fruit is aged. More Old World style flavor at this age. Lots of deposit in the bottle. Medium body. Good color to the edge, just a hint of brown. Impressed by the shape it's in at this age. Had a bottle of '94 Caymus a couple months ago that didn't show quite as nice.

Drank 3 bottles with friends at Washington Club Christmas dinner dance. Rich, well balanced fruit and tannins. Not as forward as one might expect but very enjoyable with a meal centered on roast beef.

This was really nice. Drink now at latest. Full, rich bouquet. Cherries, red fruit on attack, taking on slight oakiness toward finish. Fruit predomniates, with some acid though not as much as would be needed for more structure. Shy tannins. Medium body. Even red/violet color. Moderate finish...pleasant but not long. Not very complex. Good to drink alone or with food (olive, cheese, grilled beef).
