Russk. I brought to CDC at Mustang. Nose and mouth of barnyard and iodine. Mouth also shows raspberry candy (not sweet), bay leaf and not much bell pepper. It was the WOTF ( Hello Mr Stinky flight) against my Lacrima Christi and my Luis Pato '12. It was also my 1st or 2nd WOTN out of 22 reds (6 of them my wines). This bottle was not on the decline, even 2 days latter. 92-.

Russk. Opened at Shamuji with Brad and CDC. See my last note below. Yes, this wine is still totally cool and the WOTN for almost 1/2 of us. But it is aging quickly now. On day 2, it was starting to fall appart. 92- on day 1 and 91 on day 2.

Russk. Marido's wine at her house with Mila and Simo. The WOTN hands down. A wine that makes you moan. Elegant barnyard. Did not notice iodine this time. This was never a big wine. But now a few years later it is showing more as a light boded wine, more resolved.

Russk. This biodynamic 12%alcohol cab Franc from Bourgueil reminds me of Luis Pato, La Stoppa, Alliet [also Loire] and Joubert [Brouilly]. Plenty of C.F. earthiness, good brett, barnyard and olive tampenade, in a light weight frame with juicy acidity. As good if not better 2 Days Later. 92- points.

Red Loire including some Clos Rougeard: Lower acidity than '12 Roches Neuves FdP we had alongside. Denser, heavier, again somewhat wild but quite interesting.

Lively red fruits, raspberry, with less overt "green" (pepper or tobacco) than I'm used to for the region. Great acidity and balance, this was eminently drinkable. Opened up nicely after about an hour, it stayed consistently on with no decline over 24 hours. Excellent wine with at least mid-term aging potential

Light-bodied, somewhat bretty, red berries - raspberries and some redcurrant, some tobacco leaves. Biodynamic winemaking shows - there's some certain volatility. Nice, but hopefully will improve its complexity with time.

Very pretty - bursting with bright, vibrant red and dark berried fruit with gentle herbal and earthy accents. Not especially complex, but so easy to drink with a lightness of touch and bright acidity keeping it very light on its feet.

This cuvee nails it, as always. Saturated ruby. Masses of ripe blackcurrants and tart black fruits along with some herbs on palate. Acid delivers lift and mouthwatering morishness. Maybe a bit more exuberant and less savory than recent vintages, but that could also just be its youth. Great match with an earthy roast cauliflower dish.

Lightbodied feel of a naural wine. Cold vintage, somewhatlean wine. Not my cup of tea.

Russk. Loire Valley tasting at wine watch New Store. One of my favorite CabFranc. I bought would have bought some if it were closer to $20.
