Great nose of violets, a little cedar, spcie and red fruit. Like a great can franc, the nose is best described as being "purple." Good weight on the palate, with red fruit, more cedar and a long finish. Drank side by side with a couple good Chinons and Loire Valley reds, and this the clear victor of the bunch. The wood is still a little strong on the palate, but I think this has a couple more years to mature in the bottle.

Medium ruby color. Aromas of vanilla, cherry, black currant, violet, green pepper and a hint of earth. Medium bodied red that delivers flavors of black currant, cherry, plum, vanilla and dark chocolate. Integrated tannins provides a medium lenght finish.

Yum! Lovely nose of toasted barrel, black currant, and black raspberry (?), with a pleasant nuance of weediness and wax, presumably from the grape variety. Rich and fairly dense flavors of black and red fruit. Balanced and satisfying. I might have to find some more of this.

Like past bottle - still drinking well. Vanilla, red fruit, green pepper and earth. Lingering finish. Well made Cabernet Franc.
