Although I know the usual style/goal of the Arcadian bottlings, I was still a bit underwhelmed with this particular attempt. Even with about 10 years of age, it was still a bit shrill and austere. I fully realize that Arcadian does not make "fruit bombs" and has a Burgundian bent, nonetheless, this wine seemed a bit acetic and lacking in fruit. I was hoping it would improve served with a pork tenderloin but it was still a bit tart. Certainly, not a bad wine, but I have had many better offerings from this producer.

This wine is in its window, blind you would swear it was from burgundy. Earth, tart cherries, sois bois. Could sniff and sip this one all night. Wonderful. Love this vineyard and the winemaker isn't too bad as well.

Lovely understated Cali pinot. Light to medium bodied with dark cherry, orange rind on nose and beautiful fruit, earth on palate. Wine is very smooth and delicious. Decanted for 30 minutes and bottle gone in another 30.

Decanted 2 hours (benefited a bit). Light garnet, hint of orange. Pure nose of cherry, cranberry, strawberry, herbs and a touch of earth. Bright, somewhat tense, medium intensity fruit with good palate penetration and almost tart acidity. Medium low complexity, medium length, some finesse and was wonderful with a grilled onaga snapper.

Drinking beautifully at lunch at Marche Moderne. Pair well with my duck confit and LC's shellfish and pasta dish. Bright tart cherry/berry flavors with a whiff of stems, this was lean and yet rich at the same time. Clearly New World, but with an understated elegance.

Smoky nose. Briary red fruit on the palate. Tart cherry and a smoke-laced finish. Still quite young, a lot of nervous energy in the mouth. Finish is too lively. True to the Arc style, there is nice potential here, but leave sleeping for a few more years.

medium red color. Moderate concentratiom. Rich nose of red fruits and cola. Tastes of cherries, red raspberries, cola, clove, and other spices. Well integrated wine drinking great right now. Wonderful with food.

opened and let sit in the bottle for a few hours. Nose of cherry and spicey cola. The wine was seamless in the mouth with a mineral touch to the cherry cola and a solid finish. Fruit intergrated beautifully with the spice. This wine is drinking great right now

Nice nose. No big fruits. Interesting admixture of tart, citrus notes, muted ripe fruit, above a mushroomy baseline on the palate. Several layers working together here. Overrall I enjoyed this a great deal, but for those who prefer big-fruited Cali pinot, this won't be in your style.

A bit muted, a tiny hint stewed but also very reserved ripeness. Some structure but not enough depth or interest. What appears to be a hint of brett but far from offputting. Give it a touch of time but not their best effort, still a good food wine, not worth the money. Some Arcadians are so much stronger than others.

a very good wine, improves after about an hour or so of being open. Not particularly big, nor particularly well structured-needs a bit of acid. Pleasant red fruit, a wine blind I would have guessed to be 2003 or 2005 bourgogne rouge-which would have cost less.
I would not re-buy this btl.

Medium cranberry color and a nose showing some tart cherry with a light spice backing, and a very light undercurrent and touch of brett that just seemed to hang around until the very end...not a deal breaker at all, but simply an interesting characteristic this evening. A firm mouth feel and fruit grip that was just short of elegant, showing a mouthfeel that while not lean, might have been a bit understated, making you taste the individual layers without being hit over the head. A good framework with bright acidity...good stuff.

Excellent, very smooth, nice tart cherry, surprised us with just how good it was, brick color, seemed ready to drink, at its peak? - must be close, very happy with it, just the right amount of bite on the finish.

Decanted for two hours. Served with Miso marinated swordfish. Nice blackfruit profile. Full mid-palate, nose is not giving up all it can as yet.
