I needed a wine tonight that I really didn't need to think about too much. This one fits the bill pretty well. It seems to strike a decent balance between citrusy/fruity with some definite oak, but not too much. It's a bit buttery, but not too much. A very decent lower-priced CA Chard.

This wine exudes the classic marker of a California Chardonnay with green apples, lemons and toasty oak aromas, medium mouthfeel, and creamy medium-long buttery finish. Well-executed and not overwhelming woody or nutty. Nice pairing with lobster, salmon, or buttery clams; especially at this modest price.

(opened 48 hours ago) - color: pale yellow; nose: nada; taste: light-bodied mouth feel, light apple-pear fruit taste, short slightly crisp apple finish with citrus-infused tannins; overall: no defects, but too wispy and ephemeral for my taste -- which tends towards more body and personality -- but it might be a nice sipping wine, better on Day #2

Nose: surprisingly sweet scent with notes of fresh pear, starfruit, golden delicious apples, and ripe apricot. Barest hint of vanilla oak, with a bit of vanilla yogurt tang. Not very aromatic. Taste: dry, medium bodied chard with generous oakiness. Very characteristic notes of creamy vanilla and vanilla yogurt, banana (under ripe, on the greener side), yellow apple, apricot, and pear. Lingering finish without being too heavy or too creamy (not cloying). Some salinity on the midpalate as well as a bit of clover honey and hay or dried sweetgrass. Quite a fresh profile and texture, expressive but not overdone. Enjoyable. 88.

Color: Wheat grass. Nose: freshly baked bread with some minor green apple. Flavor: prominently buttery and oaky with some slight minerality and very slight fruit - green apple or star fruit. Decent acidity by the middle, with a fresh finish. Linger is quite a good long time. Medium bodied. Dry.
A very traditional California chardonnay. Nice balance between the buttery/oaky, and fruit. Not very memorable but still a very decent go-to. Sitting on this bottle for any length of time will not improve the wine so drink now.

Monthly tasting club LTC; No real theme, Fully blind challenge. (By me @ LWH): Ripe yellow fruits, butter, creamy, full bodied and a bit fat, some polishing wax and a touch of oak. Some spiciness as well. Ok acidity.

Not my preferred style. Quite fruity and bright, while I prefer buttery and oakey
