This is really good - quite rose like for a "blanc" de noirs. Definitely some body to this sparkler. A little baked bread - brisk acidity and some nice red fruits - cherry and strawberries. Lingers. Drink now.

Last time I drank this I called the color "blush". This has now developed a rosier hue. Still very tiny, tight bubbles, although not as intensely effervescent as before. Lovely notes of brioche, strawberry, a bit of pear and a slightly yeasty finish. Very nice. Drank in celebration of son Matt's and family's pending move to Phoenix.

Less cherry than I remember from the last time but good acidity and focused orchard fruit dominate along with some yeasty character. Fine bubbles and good acidity this has a nice citrusy yet creamy finish.

Very nice California sparkler. Lovely, blush color in the glass. Crisp, dry and elegant notes of toasted brioche, peach and a hint of yeastiness. Tight, plentiful bubbles. A hint of sweetness on the finish.

Very good sparkling wine with rose color, floral aromas with nice fruit and finish. I opened in a sink because of prior experience and it overflowed significantly again, but very enjoyable wine. Would definitely recommend.

Gingery, toasty, and some cherry and strawberry. Great acidity and a very round medium to full body. Long finish with more delicious biscuit and toast. Very complex and full bodied.

This was delicious. Extremely rich and colorful. Unfortunately I feel like a lost a lot of the bubbles when I opened it, but it did allow the flavors to shine through with less carbonation. Can't wait to try the next bottle!

Dry, layered, and complex. Cannot say enough how much we enjoyed this. Could easily be mistaken for a proper blanc du noir. Look forward to see how my remaining bottles evolve and picking up more

Hey, we got nothing to say but kudos. Read Sea Smoke's description of the winemaking and then buy! "Hand harvested in late August of 2012, the Pinot Noir for this methode champenoise sparkling wine is the result of a careful cluster selection from Sea Smoke’s estate vineyard. The grapes were gently pressed following an evening in our cold room, then transferred to stainless tanks to begin a long, cool fermentation, which was completed in once-used and neutral French oak barrels. Following nine months of sur lie aging in barrel, the wine was bottle aged an additional 24 months en tirage prior to disgorging. The wine was finished with no dosage, to preserve its finesse. The nuanced nose expresses lilies, fresh pastries and green fig. The wine enters the palate with energetic freshness with delightful length."

Drank this along side last years original 2012 Sea Spray and the difference was a huge surprise. The LD was drier, more polished and complex, building on the fruit and brightness of the original 2012. Definitely my preferred style.

A hint of sherry suggesting a bit of oxidation. Not off putting but certainly suggesting this is ready to drink.

Color has turned from blush to more of an orange salmon like. Delicious cherry, ginger and brioche flavors.

So rich, different from any other champagne/sparkling wine I’ve ever tried. Flavors of toasted almond, apricot and pear.
