Decanted for an hour before drinking over 4 hours. The wine has a deep ruby color, big nose of dark and red fruit with some cedar and oak on the nose. Still a ton of fruit, with good acidity, smooth tannins and a long delicious finish. Great with NY strip steak and drinking beautifully right now.

Rich, viscous, dark wine that is hedonistic but not very complex. Pleasurable Napa cab at a good price. Lots of cassis on the palate with an alcoholic nose. Some oak and minerality. Comes across as fat to me but it was solid over two days.

This actually exceeded my expectations. It's balanced with just enough fruit to remind you that it's a California cab. I only had one bottle, but I suspect this will be good for several more years.

Drinking splendidly! This is a perfect example of a California Cab. Still very young and fruity. Concentrated plum and currant. Just a touch of pepper and spice. Wonderful.

Gawd this is a good wine! I had a bottle of this (too early) about 2 years ago from a few bottles got from a private collector and wasn't all that impressed, my my-oh-my how it has since developed. Ripe dark fruits, ripe and soft tannins, just the right amount of oak adding nuances without being noticed .. very round, everything in balance. I would put this relatively unknown 1-year wonder up close to my favorite Stag's Leap, Shafer's Hillside Select and 1/3 the price, if you can find it. I would put it within about 2 years of its peak but not sure I will wait and take a chance on being wrong and having it diminish from where it is .. too little of it left.

Decanted 1-1/2 hours. Medium body. Good mix of red and black fruits. Fairly smooth with decent structure. Didn't make it to Laube's 95 for me.
