Big, powerful and still very tannic. But, it was not unbalanced and everything seems to be in place. Next time I will decant; I suspect it will be much better.

Always a favorite since we visited John and Sandy at the winery a few years ago. Light, bright and delicious. Medium ruby color. Strawberry, cherry and a hint of cola on the finish. A great cheese and crackers wine.

Decanted 1hr, I purchased this bottle (my only) in 2013, cherry, plums, cola, a little pepper, pleasant and soft like the iron fist in a velvet glove, drinking impeccably now and should hold for several years.nwhat a treat to drink, Napa cab at it's best.

The texture of this wine is amazing, lush and velvety, absolutely it's best characteristic as it's hard to find in wines less then 100. Cherry cola, chocolate, vanilla, sweet cooking spices, really nice balance and mouthfeel. Very good overall, I wish I had more of it and it was cheaper. Gift from father in law, nice choice :)

While this is Napa Valley appellation, there are traces of Howell Mountain terrior apparent. Dark inky purple color, medium to full bodied, vibrant forward black berry and Bing cherry fruits accented by soft clove, hints of mocha, anise, tea and tobacco spice box and oak on the lingering smooth nicely integrated polished tannin finish.

Still very young. After two hours of decanting, ample tannins and a bit hot. Plenty of fruit, cherry. Recommend cellaring for several years.

Good ripe layered black fruits but a little hot at the moment which knocked it down a point for me.

Medium bodied, red and black plums, oak and earth notes lead to a wine that wants a few more years in the bottle to soften and come together.
