Respectable Napa cab at an easy price. Used some for a red wine reduction for a tenderloin roast, and the rest to keep the cook happy before the main event was opened. It performed both jobs admirably.

Dark berry aromas. Concentrated entry. Forest berry flavor, lightly spiced with oak. Some embedded grip. I really think this will be more giving in 2-3 years. Went well with grilled beef kebabs. 88

Super concentrated and juicy, with big berry fruit mixed with cassis and plum. Not much else going on. Soft plush texture. Oak doesn't stick out at all with the big fruit. Looks like a nice early drinker.

The wine is deep ruby in color but not opaque. There is red fruit on the nose with hints of leather, baking spice, and vanilla. The wine is medium bodied and thinner than I would expect from a Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is frut forward and the wine is approachable today despite medium tannins. The wine is very good, but lacks the complexity I expect at this price point of $35.
Very fruity on the first day with a decant of probably no more than an hour. Not overwhelming or unpleasant, but more than we usually like. Second day after the last glass had sat in the decanter at room temperature overnight, much less fruity. Both wife and I liked it better the second day. This was received as a gift and not a wine we usually buy, but if we have it again will probably do a longer decant.

Personally, I believe this and the Silver Ghost Cellars Cabernet to be the best Napa cab values out there at the $30 and under price point. Where the Silver Ghost is a burst of dark fruits and espresso, this '14 Kith & Kin is more smooth and pop and pour style. Small bit of menthol/mint on the nose, mixed with blackberries and strawberries. Very small bit of blue fruit on the palate with a sweet cassis finish. Always reliable.

Nice dark fruit on the nose. Deep complex Napa Cab that seems very good for the price. Little spice on the finish. Hits the mid and back palate. Would buy again.

I'm reminded that opening a wine this young is always a gamble, even when it is aerated and decanted with sufficient wait time. The nose was very inviting, exhibiting dark fruits, blackberry and earthy aromas. Beyond that, the wine was a little out of balance with sour fruits and oak dominating the flavor profile. My resident cabernet expert, aka my wife, agreed with my evaluation. The body was smooth, satin-like with a long finish. I believe this wine will improve with age and proper cellaring but I'll probably look elsewhere after both bottles we drank had similar notes.

This medium-bodied, opaque ruby blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 3% Petite Sirah and 2% Malbec is nothing short of a hedonistic "fruit bomb." Packed with black currants, black cherries, bramble fruits, pipe tobacco and creamy vanilla, it is enticingly low in acidity, softly tannic and seamlessly alcoholic (despite having a listed ABV of 14.9%). Rich and layered on the mid-palate and finishing with good length, this is a well-priced "crowd-pleaser" Cabernet...on steroids! Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2023.

Black plum color with heavy legs. Nose is chalk, cinnamon, and ripe plum. Palate is chalk, cardamom and tart cherry with a bright and full finish. Nice with steak.

This wine was okay, tasted the skin of the grape on this one and it was very chalky. It was also a bit tannic for me and then fell flat. This one didn't do it for me.

82 Cabernet, 13 Petite Verdot and then some Petite and Malbec. Some new oak on it as well. Missed the percentage.
From the river side of the property which apparently leads to a bit of a brighter style of fruit i am being told.
