Still such a pretty little thang! Not much change since my last note a couple years ago...the essence of elegance and femininity...still showing a youthful crunch of fresh crushed raspberries and cherries...tart with some pomegranate, little tilled strawberry field earth notes, red licorice, floral dried rose prettiness. Drinks very lite in body, translucent, yet crazy how much expressiveness and complexity this wine reveals...all so graceful and subtle...and as I said before...absolute Chambolle...absolute Bertheau! Too bad they don't make these Bourgogne anymore...drinks better than some of the 1ers I've had from them.

Almost transparent with a gorgeous ruby hue. Lots of florals on the nose, with some very fine tight tannins... Popped and poured, took a half hour to loosen up. Showing more bright red berry fruit, lots of energy and lift with a short sweet finish. Easy to drink and not at peak.

Drank very well, still signs of its youthfulness. Pretty red fruits, lots of raspberry and a tough of wild strawberry in a fine framework which has not fully integrated yet. Lots of upside here - so well made

Vibrant crushed cherries and raspberries, red licorice, tilled strawberry field...such elegance and prettiness...starting to show some sous bois earthiness, but only a nuance...the crunchy fresh fruit still reigns! Silky Chambolle feel, translucent brightness...yet there is some deeper spice in there...dried roses, cherry blossom florals...finishes tart and spicy with a graceful subtlety and finesse. Absolute Chambolle...absolute Bertheau...in an easy drinking, light on the pocket book, package. I like to put a little chill on it and crush it pool side! Great stuff...too bad not made anymore. ;-(

Last drank this a year ago, and fruit (cherry) was the predominant note and very nice too. Now new oak seemed to lead, with much less fruit. On the second night, the oak had gone and the wine gained more a elegant/mature palate, but not that distinctive.

Beautiful dusty red-toned nose shows concentrated, ripe strawberry fruit balanced against tart cranberry notes. Great depth here on the palate and nose, which is particularly seductive. Super pure fruit that has begun to pale a bit in comparison to release. The sharp, stoney acidity has also dialed down and is revealing a markedly well balanced wine that is open, bright and fun without compromising structure or depth. Another winner from 2014.

Beautiful floral and cherry fruited nose. Supple, soft and inviting on the palate. It''s elegant and light bodied, but with depth and more sap than one should be allowed to ask for in a Bourgogne. Perfumed in the mouth and with supple, soft fruit that makes it incredibly drinkable and lingers in the mouth long after it is gone. A cohesive, beautifully balanced, and most delicious Bourgogne that delivers much more than one should expect. Terrific.

Oh, my, this is a slick little wine. We have been too quick to attack our six bottles, but how can you blame us? This particular bottle has been under Private Preserve™ for seven (!) days and remains stellar. In fact, I like it best tonight as we finally hit the bottom of it. Nice earth tones and some cool, tart cherry fruit. Really nice. Recommended!

Pretty bright red fruit; strawberries, cranberry, orange zest. Sharp acidity that was rounded out by some lively and fleshy fruit. Was terrific after about 30 minutes of air.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -nearly semi-translucent med red with faint purple -reticent stony black cherry; more expressive with some spice on day 2 -med acidity, med/med- weight simple but generous ripe pretty cherry and distinct stony minerality, med/med- tannins; softer and generous open knit reddish fruit on day 2 -very lovely though somewhat tightly wound, probably needs a couple years or quite a bit of air to shine; easy-going generosity reminiscent of the 2000 red Burgs but with a bit more substance and detail

So delicious. What a serious beauty. Very good weight and texture. The flavor profile is on the darker side of red. With air a note of orange peel came out. Decanted my bottle which really helped.

Gorgeous Bourgogne, it really outperforms its classification. Concentrated, slightly tart, dark red fruit (cranberry sauce) with a faint orange-citrus note underneath that lightens the palate. There is a prominent earthy/ dusty note on the nose that dresses it up nicely. I found this to be very approachable, and delicious, over two days.
Very good - 90+

Wickedly tight on night one. Much better on night two. Serious structure and grip. A different beast from 2013, completely. Glad to own more a few more and be able to follow its development.
