Started with some barnyard and opened up into a very interesting wine with complexity. Lemon, slate, even some mushroom? Acidity still in evidence. Primary fruit has faded but a great wine today.

Last bottle for me. Cork in great shape, nose with lemon curd, poached apple/pear, slightly oxidative, palate is the same with good acidity, a bit one dimensional and lacking the minerality to bring it up a notch but very good none the less. Paired with Dungeness Crab and did very well throughout dinner.

Had this blind with a number of other white burgundies in the summer of 2019. It was smooth and balanced and (as was revealed) a bit older, but certainly still alive and kicking. Overall, however, a little disappointing given the price.
From that blind tasting, below were my rankings (and the group's rankings):
1 (2) 2012 Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chateniere 2 (3) 2016 Domaine Bernard Millot Puligny-Montrachet Les Corvées des Vignes 3 (1) 2017 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin Le Banc 4 (4) 2015 Maison Harbour Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru en Remilly 5 (7) 1999 Maison Roche de Bellene Meursault 1er Cru Charmes Collection Bellenum 6 (5) 2013 Rapet Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne 7 (6) 2017 Walter Scott Chardonnay X-Novo Vineyard
91-92 Again nose seemed a touch muted, took a little time to come out. Decent acidity, nicely aged, similar to bottle opened a few years back. Had next to a 12' Ente Bourgone which may have overshadowed this a bit. Still a very enjoyable, well aged, white burg.

Touch VA at first whiff, slight vinegar note, then honey-nut cheerios thing, after a bit of air, this cleaned up nicely with lovely balance, perfect age for a '99, and even slight tannins in the end. Really cool. 92+. Your best burg tasting Ty's.

Chilled in refrigerator for about 2 hours prior to serving. It wasn't premox'd, so that's good. Beyond being in good shape though, this wine wasn't super interesting. It had some good elements; things like lemon zest and fresh red apple..But it didn't have much minerality, and lacked the sense of depth that great Meursault should have. There was an odd element to the finish too, something kind of bitter along with barrel notes.

At first, thought this had oxidized. To my surprise, that blew off but the wine was muted, had a couple of sips that hinted of greatness but the overall impression left me thinking "that was very good but nothing special" - in the 86-88 scale. Did not actually score as I still think this may have been slightly pre-moxed.

BDay Wine Dinner (Annex Fresno): 92-93 Nose was a little closed at first. Opened with time and air. Elegant nose of custard, lemon meringue and baked apple. Beautifully aged Mersault with bright acidity and such finesse. Really enjoyed, had as an aperitif but really didn't do it justice as this should have been paired with scallops, lobster or any pasta in a rich creamy sauce.

Slightly oxidized. Disappointed because really interesting except for the slightly off taste.
