Pale ruby, garnet at edge. Medium intensity nose. Pomegranate blackberry red cherry. Red vines even. Eucalyptus and licorice. Secondary cloves and coffee. Tertiary caramel. Lots to like and a lot going on!, especially on the nose. Lots of layers. Palette has staying power (and is pretty intense for a burg) with a long finish does still need time it seems as acidity and tannins are still pretty aggressive.

couleur rubis moyen; plus pale que les robes habituelles du domaine. Nez parfumé de fruits rouges, épicés et terre humide; coté minéral bien présent. Bouche souple, sur une version plus délicate dans son expression; belle acidité équilibrée.

Nose: Cherry, strawberry and ludens cough drop. A slight touch of wood emerges after some vigorous swirling. After 30 mins in my glass the wine took a much deeper pitch with fruit, dried cherries. Palate: cherry, pomegranate a bit tart but appealing, mineral with medium + acidity and tannins still very present but still enjoyable. Good stuff!

Very rich and oaky at this stage but it opened up a bit after 2 hours. Good underlying substance. Thought it was a 15 when it was served blind. Wild berries, herbs and earth. Will develop well in 8-10 years, like any barthod.

Medium expressive nose displaying subtle clean candied red fruit, strawberry candy, cherry soda, a hint of pepper, treebark and earthy mineral. Medium to light concentration, subtle clean delicate red fruit, a hint of green wood tannins and a medium long clean red fruit driven finish. It slightly lacks the fruit concentration and not terribly complex but is clean and delicious. If the fruit doesn't completely fade, this will drink beautifully in another decade. A textbook burgundy for AFWE. IMHO S. Tanzer’s tn is spot on.

Some Wine Tasted at the Acker La Paulée Auction (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Tasted at auction. All red fruit, on the lean and tart side while with good density. Better to cellar longer.

Transparent n elegant with very fine tannins. Red fruits, quite juicy and held together tightly. Nose is also shy. Not ready for drinking.
