  • This was very good. Deep and complex and hard to figure out if it was why or just too young

  • On this night, we felt the Amoureuses were tad underwhelming and went for this, and then it wiped the floor. I love the typicity and style of Ghislaine Barthod. Whenever you pull one of hers, you know exactly what you are going to get - pure Chambolle experience.

You can clearly pick out that soaring bouquet of fresh roses, ripe strawberries and orange peel. It’s the kinda nose which makes you want to stick your nose in and sniff it all up hard. The liquid itself is a luscious ruby - palatable and silky. Medium body, medium tannin. This is a textbook expression of tiptop quality.

  • Intense floral perfume with notes of fresh violets and lilies. The cherry fruit is perfectly ripe and it overlays the typical Barthod stony base. It really builds through the palate and finishes with tart berry crunch.
