Details can be found reading my notes from 05/20, but this bottle belonged to me. Nothing has really changed. This latter bottle was as satisfying as the first one. Highly recommended for the price.

This wine belonged to a good friend, and was consumed together with my 2014 Ramey Chardonnay Ritchie. This is much fresher and less ripe than the Ritchie - more green than yellow fruit, lighter in the mouth, and more refreshing and elegant. It also had a beautiful floral nose, which the Ritchie totally lacked. I liked them almost equally on the palate (although stylistically they are very different), but on the nose this was the clear winner. 94pts.

With pro ratings ranging from 89 points (WS) to 94 points (AG), this wide range may not have done justice to this beautiful chardonnay from the Russian River. Peach, lemon and white flowers on the nose, followed by flavors of stone fruit, melon, apricot and limestone. Impeccably balanced with a pure mouthfeel that was full, round, slightly sweet and mouth watering. A serious wine. Wonderful!

I only had a small pour, as the bottle had to serve tastes for fourteen people, but it was an impressive pour. Ripe peach and nectarine fruit was complemented by spicy oak. The bright acidic spine carried the wine from start to finish, so there was zero heaviness. This would be a great accompaniment to any richer seafood dish, especially if there were any citrus flavor components.

Too much carbon dioxide added at bottling. Needed more aging to dissipate. After the bottle stood open for an hour or so, it became drinkable but effervescence still masked what seems to otherwise be a very sophisticated, subtle and balanced chard.

At Aquagrill in NYC. White floral nose, palate is apricot, melon and peach with a hint of oak which comes out in the finish. Just a excellent bottle of wine.

Beautiful purity and elegance in this gorgeous bottle of Chardonnay. Lovely stone fruits and a seamless delivery. This is a lovely presentation in harmony and balance. Perfectly Oakes with some mineral elements.

Spicy, floral, tight nose that requires coaxing. Spicy attack, fruit blossom, light peach. Wonderful slate mineral finish and the spice returns. Long finish. Impeccable balance. This is serious and complex. Love this.

Tighter aromatically than the Russian River expression. Opens up though with swirling. Very structured and sweeter fruit, but not overtly sweet, just some rich expression with acidic concentration.

Somewhat quiet for a Ramey Chardonnay actually. Even though 5 years old maybe needing a touch more time.

Excellent chardonnay. On the nose honeysuckle, melon and on the palate tangerine, tart citrus, and some mineral with a long clean finish.
