Gave it three hours open before drinking and this was ready to go. Fruity, smooth, just tannic enough. Not life-altering, but nice with steaks. Fading a little by the end of dinner.

‘In confusing times a Brunello always brings much comfort. This 2011 Romitorio is no exception. Serious and embracing but also bringing freshness and joy due to it’s pretty acidity. More of this please!
Ripe, smokey and soft with red cherries, red berries, cacao, vanilla and leather
Clear pale garnet; clean medium nose of balsamic, raisins, prunes, mushrooms and toast; dry; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; high acidity; high alcohol; medium plus tannins; pfn with addition of coffee and cocoa; medium plus finish; outstanding quality; decent but wished for more length and flavour intensity

Pale ruby red. Decanted for 2 hours, opened up to notes of Sangiovese 101 - sour cherry, raspberry, underripe plum and hints of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is silky and one of the lightest I've tasted in a Brunello, even for the 15% abv. The complexity remains on a medium level. Refreshing, easy-drinking with a long finish.

Beautiful ruby red color and very subtle fragrant nose. First Brunello taste a classic burst of fresh strawberries, cherries and a hint of tangerine. Medium lingering finish with very slight dryness. Would say its now after 7 years ready to drink. The first and middle and full bodies with the finish continuing to be refined over the years.

Drank over 3 hours. Earthy and still tannic with fruits trying to come thru. Dark plum and cherry with a little fig. Will let the others sit at least 3 years I hope.

A lot of lesser known Italians. (Belvino): Dusty cherries on the nose. Good acidity. Cherries on the palate. Long finish but turns a bit bitter on the end. Slight tannins. The wine exceeds the sum of its parts though. very good wine that come together nicely. Given the vintage I don't think it make old bones but drinking well today. $70.

The nose was dark and youthfully restrained, showing fresh floral tones up front, followed by red fruits and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it displayed medium-bodied textures in a refined expression of dark red fruits, balanced acidity and fine tannins. The finish showed inner floral tones and dried berries. The resulting experience was one of a classic Brunello, even in this warm vintage.
