  • Red-brown visually. Very light in colour. Bright varietal Pinot noir on both nose and palate. Very fresh and bright still. Really good, almost citrus-like freshness on the palate. Deeper, ripe raspberry and strawberry fruitiness. A light earthiness on nose and palate. Lovely length. Medium-minus to medium body. Very good length. Really appealing wine. Had this a few years ago, but I think a bit of bottle age is really benefiting it here. I think it rounds out and softens. It's always fresh, but the secondary notes I think add quite a lot.

  • Drank at the same time as a 2014 from New Zealand. Blank Canvas 2014. Very very different. Clearly an old world kind of feel. Not burgundy though. Still quite a lot of primary fruit - picked strawberries - especially on the nose. Perhaps some greeness - stems/whole bunch? Reasonably light in colour.

  • Really well made. Red fruits. Good acid. Some smokiness. Some complexity co ming through. Spice. I agree on the crunchiness

  • Rather German in style, it's fresh and crunchy, but also shows some real spicy depth. A bit taut in the mid-palate, the youthful acidity and tannins lead to an almost eternal finish of red currants and pepper. Excellent and full of character.
