How is it that six years have passed since the last review of this wine? As I’ve noticed that my taste favors wines just a touch younger than Allen Meadows (who said drink from 2026), I had to open a bottle— and I’m glad I did. This is stunning— represents all the good things I think about with Malconsorts. A cherry liquor-like richness in the nose, earthy clay, and elegance. On opening, it almost seemed thin but it fattened up quickly. Mouthcoating middle palate. Nice spice on the finish. Really lovely.

En time på karaffel. Begynner knallhard; endimensjonal og unyansert. Kommer seg litt med luft, detaljene og sjarmen trer noe fram. Mørk solid frukt med tobakk og treverk. Relativt stor i munn, muskuløs vin. Heftig intens i midtpartiet med grovkornede tanniner. Lang utgang. Gir en del etter en stund, men forblir hard og trenger minst fem år til.
