Crimson in color. 15.4% ABV. Stunning nose of red fruits, peach and baking spices. Medium body with perfect acidity and exceptional balance. Lush, bright fruits in spades. Cherry, raspberry, strawberry and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Without quest the best vintage of this wine that I have ever tasted. Best over the next 1-2 years.

didn't really like this as much as other CT notes. herb on the nose as others have noted. strange medicinal finish. lacked the punch of other Turley zins

This is a vexing wine. It begins with attractive aromas of dark fruit, sandalwood, and apple cider spices, but it seems too mature and advanced for such a young wine. It's overripe and comes across as flabby and uncharacteristically askew. Very problematic and disappointing for a wine of this level.

My coravin wine of the week. Red fruit on the nose. The palate was dark cherry, strawberry and cranberry. A smooth moderate finish make this an enjoyable zinfandel.

A bit too alcoholic for my taste. This has consistently been my experience with Mead Ranch zins from Turley from different vintages. Too concentrated and too alcoholic. I should've bought 2 bottles of Juvenile instead of this.

This is drinking great right now...I'd imagine could get even better in 1-2 years. Decanted for an hour and shared with 3 wine friends over some charcoal BBQ chicken with spicy sauce; everyone was pretty blown away by this wine. It is much more subtle than most other Turley Zin, real delicate and silky, with a big peppery (and white pepper) and tannic punch on the finish. Wish I had a lot more of this...

Delicate zin. Very enjoyable. After PNP can’t say it’s “fruit forward” but has an interesting blend of blackberry and white pepper. Looking forward to updating review after this opens up. After opening up displayed very subtle cherry-cranberry. Characteristic of light white pepper persisted throughout. Fun bottle.

Raisin on the nose, Ripe cherries, strawberries and brown sugar on the palate, leather and tobacco leaf with some tart fruit (blackberry, raspberry) finish.
Made some bbq baby back ribs on the big green egg, this wine was a strong match.

Rich purple color in the glass. Served as a starter wine with appetizers before the prime rib roast. Cherry, spice, a bit of pepper on the finish. Drinking real well now, better in two years.

2015 Turley horizontal, 10 Zins and a White Coat. All except the White Coat were double decanted, about an hour in the decanter, then back into the bottle. This compared favorably with the other Napa Zins in the line-up. Smooth, less huge than the Hayne, but quite elegant, in comparison with especially the Central Coast offerings. Could get better.

Pickle juice, raspberry, funk on the nose. Fruity and earthy on the palate, different than any other cali wine ive had. Sweet peach finish, rough/firm tannin,

Fruit bomb....long finish....sweeter than other Turley Zins....nice but not a great stand alone drinker like Sadie Upton. I will have the other bottle this week with the Thanksgiving Turkey.....I expect it to be a perfect pairing......

Cherry and blueberry on the nose along with a bit of heat, and secondary spice notes such as nutmeg. Medium tannins integrate nicely into the finish, which brought my score from a 91 to a 92. While I can smell the alcohol (15.4%) I can barely taste it. Another nice Mead Ranch wine - this continues to be one of my favorite plots of Turley soil.

Medium purple color with slow legs. Aromas of black pepper, sour cherry and toast. Jammy on the palate with lots of red fruit and hints of bell pepper and cinnamon spice. Medium/full body with leathery texture and long finish.

Not sure why, but this Turley seemed to be a cut above the usual goodness. Nice peppery flavor but not hot at all. Good drinking over 3 nights.

Somewhat disappointed for a single vineyard Zin from this Zin specialist. Many other fine Zins they produce in the cellar to try next.

Medium body, but rather light in body for a Zin. Red fruit, a little spice. Seemed OK but nothing special.
