Been in the cellar awhile and still drinking well, especially for a value priced wine. I’m getting plum, blackberry and cassis, balanced with med-firm tannins. Very long finish.

Blend of 40% Cab Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 23% Carmenere and 3% Cab Franc. Good Bordeaux blend with notes of red fruits and black pepper and dark plum. Reasonably high acidity and tannins. This is still quite young, however feels a little unsettled. To re-visit?

One hour decant. Dark, faded maroon color. Pecan, prune, leather and dark fruit on the rich nose. Slightly brambly, syrupy palate with bright acidity. Firm tannins on medium long finish. Great QPR here.

Society of Wine Educators Conference- Chilean Carmenere: Aromas of cherry, licorice, leather, and black tea. Full fruit and layered spice on the palate, round seamless texture and feel. Broad grainy tannin, nice depth on the finish. Very good.

The dark berry fruits are smooth and plush and spice with toasty oak mingles into a long finish.

Decent the first night, but got better in subsequent nights... I enjoyed this one now, but may be better in a year or two

Aroma slightly old world, taste definitively new world, with ripe dark fruit and a spicy, earthy, long finish.

Light years behind the 2010 I recently enjoyed. Hot and disjointed. Savory and tannic but all out of balance.
