Classic Chassagne. Still very young in color with clear green streaks in a clear, light yellow robe. Fine, but a little muted nose, dominated by peach, pear and yellow apples, as well as a very fine note of all spice, and some oak (but less than what I remember from my last tasting of this wine). Medium to full bodied, still very young fruit dominating the mid part (pear, peach), fine acidity, and a fine aftertaste where the spicey tones emerges again. Very nicely oaked, although the vanilla flavors are clearly detectable. Not a wine for those wanting the punch of a Meursault, more for those looking for an elegant white like Corton Charlemagne. Impressively young. Should be aged for at least five more years.

Pale straw yellow colour. Wonderful nose with butter, hazelnut, ripe peaches, really detailed and layered. Palate was surprisingly light bodied, but full of tension and poise, crackling with mineral energy, lemon and a spicy finish. Delicious white burgundy, early in its drinking window.

Very, very good. Delicious, with great purity, uplifting, with good minerality, citru and white flower. A wonderful example of a 2014 Chassagne premier cru.

Needed 30 minutes to settle down. Once it did, the wine showed nice minerality and acid balance. Not a blockbuster; however, I am a fan of the extended family style.

A Spring Saturday at Dave's Place: Evidently a lean, light, and airy style. Over time as it warms it gains complexity, but not a lot of richness. The nose is predominantly green fruited of green grape, crushed rock, seashell, cold cream, flint, and a slight onion skin note. The palate is clean and lean with great acid and a nice seashell and crushed rock finish. Almost Chablis like. Representative of the 2014 vintage and a traditional producer. Great wine!

Atkin Chardonnay Comparative tasting (Lismore): The nose has a delightful combination of smoke, spice, tart tatin and lemon curd. Crips and intense on entry, the wine is stimulating with a subtle fragrance throughout. It is complex by some gently toasted oak sprinkled with chopped nuts—mouth-cleansing, long, juicy and utterly delicious in the classic Marc Morey style.

Quite deep straw colour with an almost golden hue, seems quite evolved. Intense nose dominated by citrus, cardemom and exotic fruit, as well as a rather dominant tone of new oak (vanilla and smoke). Full bodied with that typical intense citrusfruit verging on lime in addition to pinapple and vanilla. Quite straightforward for a Chassagne, no mineral tones, just fruit and oak. Wonderful acidity. Long and almost sweet aftertaste with a somewhat disturbing oak tone, almost tannic. Much more pleasant with food, although a bit too heavy for cooked crayfish. Nice with a classic french dish: skate with "beurre noisette" and capers. A good wine, but lacking some complexity and with a bit too much oak. Maybe it will be better in a couple of years.

Tasted at the Arroyo Vino White Burgundy wine seminar. Tasted near the end an minimal notes, "Loads of Citrus". Sorry. Other wines impressed more, but I would be quite content to have this in my cellar.

More focused on the nose and palate than the Philippe Colin that preceded it.. Sour apple on the nose; great acidity, a little more green than the previous wine on the palate; a bit of a sharp finish.

Tasted blind along with 2014 By Farr Chardonnay, 2013 Kongsgaard Chardonnay, 2012 Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones and 2014 Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay.
Clear, medium intensity, lemon color.
Youthful nose with medium(+) intensity. Fresh and bruised red apple, green pear, fresh cut lemon, grass, butter, discrete oak and a little smokiness.
Medium bodied with high acidity. This had lots in common with the By Farr. Rather sleek and elegant mouthfeel where the fruit has a bit more green and tart note to it and the oak lies in the background. It has great intensity and the structure to really become something with age but today it is a bit too steely for my palate.
Wait!

Ljus och ung till färgen
Väldigt ung doft. Frisk och blommig initialt. Sen framträder lite jäst, smör och lite fet frukt.
Bra syra, intensitet, bra längd (även om flaskan var i tuff konkurrens med övriga vita viner)
