I opened the bottle but didn’t decant 2 hrs ahead. The tannins have mellowed but this is a serious complex wine. Both on the pallet and the nose. Earth and leather undertones just beginning to come through. This can age at lra5 more yrs.

Tasted blind. Cocoa, berries on the pleasant nose. Tart cherry, some herbs, vibrant, and round on the palate. Guessed older Cali Cabernet but not producer. Very nice!

I poured this blind to my wine club buddies. All thought it was an old-world wine. Medium body notes of game, sweet cherries, flowers, smoke, graphite ending on and shall I say still tannic and smooth finish. Drinking beautifully now and should hold another decade. Impressive for the 95 vintage and unfortunately, no longer affordable as current vintages are released above $300 CAD.

Blind, I don't think my Bordeaux orientated palate would have recognised this as Cabernet Sauvignon. It was quite full bodied, softly fruity, more blueberry than cassis, very round, caressingly textured with moderate acidity. Shape on the palate was somewhat upfront but the finish was quite long with resolved tannins. Moreish aided by commendably low alcohol (12%). Bravo for terroir differences. Very good.

Mint and wet sock nose...plenty of fruit left on the palate, and good tartness to it. The finish evaporates rather quickly, but features nice mineral, gravel notes. Still, would drink now.

Jen's Birthday (Lake Bluff, IL): Ripe red currant and cassis with graphite, leather, and damp earth. Fruit forward palate; very drinkable now. Not overly tannic. Good acidity on the backend.

Jen's birthday (Inovasi; Lake Bluff, IL): Really nice, classic Cabernet notes - cassis and mineral notes. Still youthful but gives a lot of enjoyment. Refreshingly tame. Very nice.

Interesting/stange wine. A bit closed for the first hour, after decanting for a half hour. Then, it was gorgeous for an hour. Great richness and complexity. Then, the wood took over and overpowered it for the last two hours after the fruit mellowed. The wood left a very harsh finish towards the end.

Holiday Tasting Event (Columbus, OH): Bold cassis and characteristic ripe Cabernet with a nice green hint. Still quite young and grapey. Well framed by dark oak and balanced tannin. A rougher build that needs age to sort itself out, but very promising. ***+/5

Deep, dark, with an earthy bouquet. Uniform in taste, with excellent fruit, and soft tannins. Probably will benefit from more time.

Elegant, aging CA cabernet. A bit soft, but still a balanced wine with fruit and structure. At or slightly past peak.

This was drinking really well, I would recommend drinking if you have any of it. Blackberries, medium bodied, and very smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fruity nose, slightly closed, cherry fruit in the mouth, slightly simple, lots of dusty dry earth, medium, soft tannins, mouth coating tannins, lonest finish tonight.
