A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black currant, licorice and white pepper, was better than last time tried, pepper more obvious longer wine was open. www.winelx.com

A very nice Malbec. More restrained fruit and more complex and interesting than many Malbec's at this price point. Finished the bottle the following day and it was very smooth, no bitterness with a nice depth of flavors. Great QPR at $10.

Color: dark red hues with purple ruby tinge. Very little translucency. Nose: over ripe red fruits, raisins, along with tobacco smoke, earthiness, cracked pepper. Bit of a hot nose. Flavor: for the forward, ripe plums, blackberries, licorice, and sweet spices, along with a notable green profile - sautéed green pepper, vine bark, pepper. Middle shows some melding of flavor profile along with some representation from the tannin structure, which is notable. Finish is smooth. 20 or so second linger. Medium to full bodied.
Decent everyday Malbec blend. Not quite as fruit forward as other Malbecs but instead more of the earthy, green that sometimes shows up on shelves. Good QPR. Good to drink now or sit on for another year.

Retail $14. 79% Malbec, 11% Bonarda, 10% Syrah. Trivento has to be near the top of high-value producers, and their Amado Sur might likely lead the pack. Excellent fruit combined with a racy attitude and a touch of backbone. One certainly could do a lot worse for $14. Very Good. 87-89 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

A Few Samples - Portugal & Argentina: Bright purple color. Juicy dark plums, black cherry, cola, pipe tobacco, vanilla. Juicy, punchy texture with mild tannins, moderate acidity and fresh red and black pllum fruit. Notes of sweet cola, violets, mint and coffee. Earthy, spicy clove notes on the finish. Lots of fun but not simple, this would please many a palate. A near-term drinking blend of 79% Malbec, 11% Bonarda, 10% Syrah.

Good. I am not a huge fan of malbec, but the addition of bonarda and syrah gives this some depth and cuts the graphite of malbec. Inky purple. Dark fruits and oaky vanilla. Very drinkable, but nothing complex. I found this marked down for $8.50 at Publix. It's crazy good at that price.

Not bad fresh from the decanter with a dinner of Colombian street food, (mazorca desgranada) but definitely came into its own on the second glass, drunk by itself. Rich, earthy and oaky, with a powerful nose and a great finish.

(opened for 24 hours) color: medium purple velvet; nose: earth and oak -- nice!; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, rounded fruit taste, medium-length finish with black pepper and licorice notes and yummy gum-sucking tannins; overall: delicious -- solid and balanced juice, interesting and handsome from start to finish, fully ready to drink as of Summer 2016 -- yet likely to improve for the next 24 months, would pair great with lamb kofta or grilled burgers or pork tenderloin

Dark fruits. Spice. Lots of tannin. Full body. Wouldn't open another bottle right now, but will be interesting to see how it does in a year or so.

surprisingly brusque and tasty Malbec not a lot of complexity but just enough fun taste to make it desirable with any red or dark meat

3oz pour on flight at Cafe Vino Fort Collins. Rich tannins and leather in the nose. Figs, dates, and currants. Intense but pretty good.
