Chianti and Brunello (Ciao Bella): This is definitely old world. I thought it was corked but I think it's just musty and weird. There is walnuts and golden apple along with moss and mushrooms.

pale, light straw, greenish color. clean, grapey aromas some minerality in reserve. lots of mineral depth, medium body, not too heavy. nice wine, it seems to have peaked and likely is in decline.

Elegant, complex, and so food-friendly. A petrol/apple aroma presages more of the same on the palate. At the core, this is all Golden Delicious apple, with some secondary characteristics of walnut, petrol, honeysuckle and mint. The texture is rich, supple, and soft, and the finish is very long. This is the sort of wine that makes you want to rip the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio out of people's hands and replace it with this. Really quite lovely. A good deal from Garagiste, even at $20.

Light, straw color. Green apple, vitamin notes. Refreshing lunch wine with salad. Not showing signs of fading but no reason to hold, drink now.

A firm wine with a spicy core, fresh and pure, very Italian.
