PNP. Cork perfect. Color pinkish salmon. Nose candied strawberry. Swishing shows dense fruit and some tingly acidity. Finish med length and polished. Age has helped I think.

I liked this but not nearly as much as the recent Il Poggione. Still very good rose but this felt a little heavier and less finessed than the Il Poggione. Guessing the Grenache used in the blend makes this a bit ponderous.

On the deeper color spectrum for a rosè. Red fruit on the nose with a full mid palate and medium finish. Definitely on the weighty side and not suited to be had as a refreshing summer sip. Needs food for sure and hearty enough to stand up to delicate grilled red meat, such as lamb loin, etc. Overall a good value at $19.99, but you may be disappointed if you start sipping with preconceived notions of what a run of the mill rose should taste like.

PNP. Cork perfect. Color pinkish salmon. Nose has a watermelon gazpacho that makes it interesting. Swishing shows acid and reveals a spiciness that seems like skin tannin on the finish which is med length and polished. Sipping this is shows polish and density that was lacking in 2014, but it is not as refreshing as a consequence. A little bolder than I was looking for

Very nice. Not a sweet fruit bomb rose like so many now days. Med dry. Bright strawberry notes. Delish with our crab cakes

Still pleasant fruit but mostly mineral and earthy notes. Really delicious.

As one taster noted, nice energy & acidity. On the savory side for a rose.

This may be even better than the previous bottle. Terrific Tavel, which carries its weight without being at all heavy.

A very nice Tavel, with some energy/acidity balancing the weight.

We found this wine a bit off putting and bitter. However, the French rose characteristics finally came around when we added some food.

Needs food. It's a big sucker. A bit hot and indelicate for my taste, but it's stylistically correct.

Wine Wizards Rose Tasting (Wine Wizards): Nice with some weight and decent balance but not lovely enough to seduce me into buying.

HdR Lunch #1 - Think Pink (Hospice du Rhone): Deep salmon in color. Watermelons with light strawberries. Some alcohol showing. Good bold fruit though. Great texture.
