Unscrew and pour. In a good.place. Beautiful nose with guava, green fruit, some savory herbs. On the palate, excellent acidity, but still very primary, and underripe pineapple with guava. Very clean finish.
Day 4 open: this just keeps getting better with more time open. A hint of petrol has popped out, but everything above and more.

Unsrewed this is perfect right from the start, dense Riesling aromas, mineralic, and that tasty, this is 2015 in an higher entry level! Harmonic, light to midbodied, the fruit delicious ripe and sweet, long, **- ***

A fantastic wine. Transparent yet complex so fresh and yet so stoic. Slightly saline yet so flowery, sweet/bitter grapefruit skin. Yum... this was just about a perfect bottle to open on a later afternoon after a long day!

A Rieslingfeier of our Own; 2/13/2017-2/18/2017 (Traben-Trarbach, Germany): #04-16, 12% abv. Under screw cap. Essentially, this is the dry version of the Leistenberg vineyard. The nose on this is peachy and fruity, with just a hint of those more exotic flavours -- Thai herbs and lychee. The palate shows similarly fruity, with mild acidity that is in good balance with the rest of the wine.

There is some sparkling on the palate, telling me this needs some time to settle. Would agree with previous TN this has a bone-dry note, but there is also some mid-palate fruit. Need to see this in a year or two.

Shit the balance of fruit and acidity in this wine makes me think these bottles will not last through the EARLY part of summer...should have bought more.

P&p. Briny sea breeze aromas, cohesively intertwined with stone fruit, flowers, grapefruit and green apple. Similarly saline/briny/stony on the palate. A bit more fruit than on the nose, especially apricot/peach, generous/juicy and at the same time very cool/fresh. Plenty of nice tart acidity, while staying balanced. Good stuff, and a good value.

Unsrewed and poured, muted nose, some little herbs, grassy, pure stonelicking , nearly no fruit, only some lemoncest, bonedry as bonedry can be, and overall my beloved acidic punch in the foreground and aftertaste, a nearly single showing of this Dönnhoff as most of the other estates have launched more balanced beginner Rieslings of the 2015 vintage, lightbodied, good finish, a perfect refreshing summer Riesling, but only for Riesling-acidic-addicts, may soften a little over the next 1-3 years, today I do like this bottle, **(+-*), 84- 89+

A touch of effervescence, and intense acidity. Great nose with citrus/sour apple and chalk. Very zippy on the palate; lifts your spirits...nice finish.

As a Riesling lover I do always try a lot of bottles from my favourite region the Nahe, and therefore from the best estates like Dönnhoff, A very fresh and young bottle, lively acidity, mineralic slate in the foreground, some lemon cest, maybe green apples, light, fresh and very drinkable, but for me Dönnhoff is best at their GG, single vinyards and residual sweetness wines, this is a good bottle but nothing special, you get some fine thrilling Riesling from single vinyards for example of the two Schneider estates from the NAhe at lower costs.........., this wine may improve by 2- 3 years more in the bottle, *(*+), 84- 86+?

I don't normally buy or drink entry level trocken German Riesling but given the vintage hype decided to try some, while this is not a bad wine by any means it does not change my previous position, there's a loaded upfront slate mineral note, with subtle green apple skin and lemon rind, nice medium acidity fresh mouth feel with A low fruit feel and medium length finish.

Discreet, floral, with delicate balance. Very crisp acidity (really pulls), rounded with floral and soft fruit flavours.

K&L Tasting with Cornelius Donnhoff and Andi Spreitzer (K&L Hollywood): This bottle showed very differently from my last tasting. Much darker than I remember, showing red earth on the palate. Again, fantastic acidity and very very green.

Unfruity long austere, young very refreshing and minerally. Needs to be laid down for a year or so to calm the swingeing acidity.
