@ Tango Sur Not the I Block bottling which is 1945 plantings, and the oldest SB in the Western Hemisphere.
Angular pear aromas, peach fruit, not tonnes of creaminess at pnp. Palate is much less blowsy than one could anticipate. Lots of spice, maturity feels like it short of being halfway in its drinking window. Lots of lift, almost an ammonia I’d want to drink.
2 hours in, and it starting to show pineapple juice and sweet cotton candy aromas. This would be a fun comparison next to Dagueneau Silex or otherwise.

pale lemon. On the nose medium intensity aromas of vanilla, puff pastry, brioche, lemon, wet stones. On the palate the wine is dry with medium + acidity, medium alcohol, medium + body. The flavor intensity is medium + with vanilla, puff pastry, brioche, lemon, wet stone, lemon curd. Creamy texture on the palate. The finish is medium + with a citrus note. The wine is balanced, demonstrates intensity and has a medium + finish- overall a very good wine. Very pleasant- despite the obvious oak this is an elegant wine.

The oldest SB I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. Classic aromas of grapefruit and ripe peaches on the nose. On the palate these continue but with a creamy, saline and slightly brioche finish. Gripping acidity and surprising minerality.

Very concentrated and pure on the nose and palate. Fresh citrus and floral notes, a touch of creaminess with lush texture, and a finish that sticks with you. This is classy and easy to love.

This wine has faded significantly in the 20 months since I tasted it last (1/17 - 95 points), though it still has enough energy to make it well worth the money. The wine is a bit more honeyed, but it still quite classy. Drink now.
Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of wet grass, lime peel, ad saline. Tastes of orange marmalade, grapefruit, and lemon rind, with a round yet acidic finish. The fruit is less pronounced than before, and the oiliness is more noticeable, but it still holds together quite well. 14.5% alcohol. Blend of 98% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Sémillon.

This classy Sauvignon Blanc is flat-out delicious - energetic without being bitter, layered without being heavy. Light yellow in color, medium in body, nose of fresh-cut grass, gooseberry, and salt water. Fresh and pure tastes of lemon, lime, grapefruit, meringue, and minerals, with a zippy yet creamy finish. 14.5% alcohol. Blend of 98% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Sémillon.
I love New World SB, and Mondavi's To Kalon Reserve is one of the best. While sometimes I lean too far towards finding the new, this wine shows that sometimes the best is right there in front of you. Probably will peak in a year or so, but it is awfully good now.

Not my style. It is lovely expression of a Napa wine. A bit heavier hand than I prefer.

Poised, complex. Crisp, with tropical fruit touches. Lovely stuff.

Melon and citrus notes. Clean and straightforward. My next bottle will be in summer where this white belongs.

Nice, weighty, rich lemon with some pleasant grassiness on the finish.
