Flinty, smokey mineral nose. This is aging very well and drink well. Restrained lemon peel and green apple. Extremely long minerally finish. A bit muted out of the bottle, it really opened up after an hour in the decanter. This has another couple of years in it at least.

90 Amarillo verdoso intenso; fuerte mineralidad y notas cítricas intensas; en boca es tremendamente seco y firme, un vino con mucha estructura y poderío.

Slightly reductive on opening. Very bright, snappy nose. Minty, saline, bits of vanilla and facepowder. The oak shows a hair, but a really bright, lively wine and not deficient in acidity in any way. Perhaps a bit thin in the middle, particularly when compared to better terroirs, but hard to fault this at it's asking price and a delight with fish and veggies.

Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Saint Aubin 1er Cru White (Rodwell House): Mid lemon colour with lifted aromas of mineral, oatmeal and savoury yet accompanied by furfurol from the oak. A reasonably precise entry with mineral and smashed rocks, sound intensity and depth of flavour. The mid-palate has quite a ripe-edged stone fruit with loads of oatmeal that ultimately feels a little disjointed as the wine. It manages to be relatively lean and saline yet also quite broad. Perhaps am being a little hard?

Very interesting combination of slightly bitter almond and sweet lemon curd. Looking forward to finishing the rest of the bottle tonight

Great minerality with moderate use of oak. Well balanced and ready to drink. Marc Colin's St. Aubin line up is always excellent value.
