Silky smooth. Needs an hour-2hour decant to open-then full mouth feel, long soft finish black fruits five spice almond extract-delicious -will improve next 5 years I’m sure-has the structure for it

What a treat. Extremely impressive. Ready to drink now, but we are looking forward to see how it will continue to age and evolve. I would recommend waiting at least a half hour after opening. The bottle did not last the hour, but the wine did continue to balance out.
Medium mix of garnet and ruby red. Restrained and a touch elegant nose with bramble berries, branches, volcanic soil and a bit of cinnamon and anise with air. Medium tannins (7/10) with a medium plus body. Aromatic and structured palate with a dark fruit profile, vanilla, black currants and a gritty texture throughout. Long and dry finish. Drink till 2030.
Made up of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Cabernet Franc.

Fred Swan - 97+ points - “...deep ruby in color with a pretty nose of dark flowers, blackberry, savory spice, lavender, bay leaf, red cherry, dry herb, and dark mocha... wonderfully flavorful palate... approachable, yet quite structural.”

Tasted at winery with a 2015 and a 2013. The 2016 is ready to drink now with a little air. This is only 36% cab franc and is drinking more like a new world cab which is different than what one expects from Viader.
