Perhaps it was a comparison with austier wine just before, but on day one this seemed very oaky and fruit bomby, tho with nice intensity. On day 2, there is more complexity with herb/spice/leaf, nice read fruit and good interplay between acidity and tannins. Tastes a bit older too, suggesting that this might still have its best days ahead of it...

Aromas of black fruit, raisins, dried fruits, lots of oak (vanilla, nutmeg, clove, coconut), nut, brown butter. Full bodied with some raisins on the palate. Can improve with some age, probably needs to be decanted for a few hours.

Medium ruby wine. On the nose it has medium intensity and is still developing. Aromas are blackberries, blackcurrant, baked fruits, black pepper, vanilla, liquorice, wet leaves. Wine is dry with high acidity and high tannins. High alcohol, full bodied. High intensity and flavours of black cherry, sweet liquorice and charred wood. Long finish, wine is very good. Can drink now but still with potential for ageing a couple of years. Benfits from decanting two hours before drinking.

Vínsmakk, starfsfólk Samskipa (Njálsgata 6): Umhellt fjórum tímum fyrir smakk og svo hellt til baka á flöskuna. Held að það hafi gert víninu gott. Meðaldökkur og unglegur litur. Þægilegur og höfugur ilmur ekki leysiefni í ilmi eins og er svo algengt í Priorat. Mjög bragðgott og í góðu jafnvægi. Keypt úti á Spáni á 16,9€. Hingað komin kostar þetta vín um 3.400 kr. Fæst ekki í ríkinu.
