May have been past prime. Had with Thanksgiving dinner. Not flawed, but nothing special. Opened and left in bottle for 2 hrs. before drinking. Darker in the glass than most pinots, and aroma was muted. No classic strawberry notes from Mendocino pinots. Just really uninspired. Could have been all the different foods we had this one with, but our other Pinot was much better. I’ve had some great W-S pinots, and the Weir vineyard one is one of my favorites and usually really good.

Pw2 hour decant and returned to bottle. Clear with very minor fine sediment. Deep ruby/purple. Typical big CA Pinot nose. This is good juice drinking well. Med body, nice balance with just a slightly tart finish. Black fruit, long finish. Nothing off. $63 winery direct.

WOW! Now that's a great bottle of wine. It's drinking very well right now. The bright red fruits are perfectly balanced with some cola. I wish I had more.

Pale red. From magnum. A very pretty though not particularly complicated nose offers aromas of fresh red cherry, candied blackberry, cream cheese, violet, underbrush, loam and oak spice. Just medium bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity and tight, though round tannins, this is somewhat compact in feel. Perhaps in this format a few more years would be best.

Quite tasty. Took this camping and drank it in the middle of a old growth forest which suited it well. Nicely developed now for a pop n' pour displaying cherry cough drops with fresh bay leaf and a dash of cola.

Nose of black pepper, wet leaves, moist forest air, fresh picked blackberry, berry vines, damp earth, and tree bark. Tannins are still holding on, a bit chalky on the tip of the tongue. Acidity down the side of the tongue that lingers long into the finish. The palate is quite a bit tighter. Red fruit comes through, but under ripe, maybe red plum skin, tart. The dusty tannins cover the fruit a bit. The pepper and earth come through as well. This still has plenty of life to it. I would give this at least 3 years and possibly deep into 2020 or longer. It’s not ready yet.

No detailed notes beyond that this wine is drinking well right now and I don't see additional upside in cellaring longer. Fruit, alcohol, and tannins were nicely integrated. Super enjoyable.

Decanted 1 hour and it was firing out the gate. Love the whole WS line , this weir vineyard delivered everything im looking for with them. Cherry, cranberry, spice, light oak. Great balance , great with food but fun just the same on its own.

Much more elegant than most Williams Selyem Pinots. Almost Burgundian. Full cherry cola and dried fruit bouquet that gently settles into a very long, complex finish. Probably would have been better with s little more age but just lovely aerated into a decanter and poured into the glass.

Very nice. Elegant and restraned. Medium body, but a more refined WS than usual. Very, Burgundian. Floral nose combined with raspberry and strawberry flavors. Allspice in the background. A touch of WS signature cola. Good acidity. Mild tannins. This is drinking well now, but has at least 6+ years or more ahead until it reaches peak secondary development. 13.7% ABV.

Bursting aromas of cola, cedar and raspberry. Sour cherry orange peel, cinnamon on the palate with just a hint of smoke. Nice smooth finish and should get better with age.

Maybe this is flawed. This was rough, never really soften up, a bit plummy.

Aired for 90 minutes. Some of the hardness blew off. Served with fresh wild salmon (great match). Got better until it was gone.

Bizarre flavors for a Pinot, no finesse, I opened something else and let the kids suffer through it. Yuck. Consistent for WS.
