  • Last bottle from a trip in 2014 — was in a perfect drinking window. Was very pleasantly surprised. An excellent reminder of how much I enjoy Sangiovese after drinking so much Piedmont lately. Very round mouthfeel, fruit still prevalent with just the right amount of tertiary complexity. This was one of my first cellared bottles so really a joy to drink almost 10 years later after I first started collecting. I swear it tastes better because of the patience involved.

  • Solid sangiovese from San Gimignano--always a great reminder of the gorgeous view from their veranda overlooking the countryside at our tasting at the vineyard. Paired well with a rustic roasted chicken with carrots and sauteed green beans.
