Color is a clear orange gold. 45% Pinot Noir, 45% Pinot Meunier, and 10% Chardonnay; 24-36 months on the lees. Mousse is large bubbles, not fine in any way. On the nose, orchard fruit, almond paste, orange zest, wet stone. Palate is rich, with red apple, maybe a hint of peach, almond, pleasant vanilla sweetness on the finish. A lovely, if not a bit basic, NV Champagne and a good QPR. I’m generally a fan of BdN and BdM, and this contains many qualities of those that I like (full bodied, more powerful fruit, etc.).

A very enjoyable bubbly! A great value. If you like yeasty champagnes, this wine is not for you. This was nicely dry, with a flavor profile similar to Blanc de Blancs. I would buy this again.

Decent champers for the price. Bright acid with some ripe apple and citrus notes. Perhaps a little higher on the dosage but well balanced and a pleasant apertif.

A rather wimpy Champagne, balanced, no complexity, drank after Piper Sonoma which had much more vitality, drank with baked oysters, probably won’t drink again.

Not a particularly persistent mousse. This noted, the wine features persistent, big, vivacious bubbles. Green apples and steeliness throughout. Piercing and substantive, gripping, and generous. Quality finish. 89-90.

This wine does what it is supposed to do and does it admirably with a delicate balance of citrus with a significant note of earthy, yeasty counterbalance. Yummy!

Delightful Champagne, lovely vibrant gold color, served from a half bottle. 45% Pinot noir, 45% Meunier, 10% Chardonnay. Remarkably fruit forward, fine bubbles and mousse. Not as dry as I expect from a Brut, but good acidity to keep proper balance. Perfect summer quaff and a step up from Prosecco alternatives.

This bottle was well balanced with lots of flavor, complex with good structure, nice bouquet and golden color, solid bubbles that persisted til the final glass, drank with sautéed flounder, would drink again, will see how the price fluctuates.

Started out strong intense lees or wood flavor, it moderated as wine warmed up, definitely need food, good bubbles, golden color, almost balanced as we progressed, good fruit with focused structure, drank easily, will drink again, drank with fish and chips (cod).

Good if simple Champagne. Leans towards rounder and fuller, rather than leaner and angular. A bit fruity. Apple and some citrus. Lacking minerality, but enjoyable nonetheless. Can’t ask for more at just $30.

This was fantastic. Even the wife thought so and that is a major win ;) Good intensity bouquet of crisp apple, white cherry, banana, kiwi, and honey. A little yeasty character adds to the creaminess on the palate. Just dry enough to be lively and seductive with nice balance among the acidity and mineral tones. I didn’t expect it to be memorable, but I did expect it to pair perfectly with my halibut dinner. And it did. 4+11+17+8= 90

Rich full nose with black fruits to the fore. VG palate. Quite full flavoured and not too aggressively dry/acidic. Very pleasant on its own, and also very food friendly.

Disgorged 2016 and doing just fine. The yeasty brioche character now mellowed to a gentle underscore of citrus curd and golden apple, but the mineral crunch still keeps its edge and heightens interest with food. Strangely irresistible with extra dark Unique pretzel splits, and no slouch by itself. Hell of bargain at $25.

PnP was akin to my previous notes a few months ago. Pithy and biting at first. The effervescence was a bit aggressive and steely/alkaline tasting. Some white stone and yellow fruit emerged, but in a very pedestrian fashion. No real layered flavoring on the delivery.
After some air, the core became overly fruity and one-note. Yellow citrus was the singular hit on the palate, with a simple, deadening thud on the back end. More air made for an even more flaccid response. No real complexity to speak of here. Barely a workable ground-pounder that most at the table either struggled to finish, or just chugged to get it out of the way for the next glass of whatever libation was on the queue for NYE.
Memorable only in that it was overtly forgettable. Disappointing from a wine geek standpoint.

White stone fruit with bits of lemon citrus make their way on to the palate, with a bit of a biting, steely effervescence that stifles the fruit and simplifies the attack quite a bit. Some pith and chalk seem like they’ll add interest, but they just linger and make for a fuzzy aftertaste.
Overall, it’s an “ok; does the job” kind of Champagne, but hopefully you didn’t pick this wine up for anything more than $20 or so. Ultimately not worth the price of admission even at that QPR. I have a few more, so I’ll revisit in due time; but I would more categorize this Champagne as an artless ground-pounder that doesn’t necessarily offend, but does little to stimulate the senses. 85-87 points depending on how critical you feel like being about a sparkler that’s barely “worth” a solid Jackson.

We had this with some dim sum and hot and sour soup and it paired well. The acidity (balanced, not overwhelming) cut through the oil and spice nicely. Nice fruit, not as dry as most brut I have had, but not sweet, just gave it a hint more body. Citrus (lemon), green apple, yeast/bread. I have 3 more bottles and glad I bought. From Last Bottle @ $28. Good QPR and better than more expensive champagnes I've had this year.

Tasted blind. Interesting to have this again after having just had it the week before. I think I liked it even just a bit more this time around. Quite a classic and typical champagne nose.
