This bottle presented different from my first experience. Notes of petrol on the nose that I did not get from that bottle, but notes of lemon and faint flower were there again. Tight acidity present, I did not experience the creamy texture I noted with the first bottle. Maybe bottle variation. This begs to be consumed with food.

Drinks like a fine Chablis. Notes of lemon, flowers and a touch of vanilla. Medium bodied in the mouth, good underlying acidity and a nice creamy texture. Impressive!

70% Rabigato, remaining is a field blend of Codega (10%) , Gouveio (10%) and Viosinho Dozelino Branco (10%) from vineyards planted between 1920-1933. Tended in mica schist soil from 650-700 m (2,133-2,297 ft) elevation (per the tech sheet). Decanted just shy of an hour and tasted at a cool room temp. This wine is a sneaker in that when you take the first sip it almost seems a bit flat. A couple of seconds later it forced me to give it my full attention. Besides the searing acidity there is plenty of waxy citrus fruits, a hint of a sherry-like note, and a huge dose of minerality that make this like no other white Douro wine out there I've had. Unbelievable complexity and perhaps the longest finish on a white wine from the Douro I've had. I hate to use the comparison, but a good description is Douro meets Grand Cru Burgundy. Approaching 4 years old this is appears to have plenty of life ahead of it. Luis Seabra truly is one of the most talented winemakers in the Douro. 96 Points

After the last bottle was premixed was nice to see this showing well. Nose of fresh almonds in artisan olive oil, slight oxidative/sherry note adding complexity, citrus and herbs with streamlined structure.

Ripe and rich fruit up front backed by pepper, herbs, minerals, and screamin' minerality. Perhaps not the most refined, but there is plenty of it and it is delicious!

Beautiful bouquet of lush tropical fruits and assorted citrus, including zest and essences, along with herbs and minerals. The wine features high plus acid; yes, high plus! Phenomenal balance, range, and depth. It can be enjoyed now and should be great in 25 to 30 years as well. What a wine!

The last bottle I tasted must have been off. This one was closer to my first experience. Very nice.

Really nice wine - the nose was white flowers, the palate was hints of citrus, green apple and minerals. The finish was crisp.

Clean and fruity aromas with honey and minerals. Reminded such of a Chenin Blanc. Intense on the palate, with good acidity.
