A generous gift from a friend. Decanted ~1 hour, consumed over ~2 hours with a rib roast dinner. Black cherry and dark berry fruit dominating, with hints of dried herbs and well-integrated oak. Not a ton of complexity at this stage, but well-balanced overall (although I'd personally prefer a bit less ripeness to the fruit and a bit more grip). All in all, a quality, well-crafted cab, and one we were happy to enjoy.

Opened three hours prior to dinner. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums, menthol, and dried thyme. Finish was long and full. A very nice bottle of Cabernet.

Pnp....initial scents on the nose revealed some jammy black fruits, smoke, oak and vanilla. On the palate i was disappointed to find the fruit somewhat muted with secondary and tertiary notes of smoke, chocolate, oak and leather. The wine is very smooth and full bodied with polished tannins and a medium finish. This would have scored much higher if there were more fruit. The secondary and tertiary characteristics make the wine interesting and are what earned it a score of 89. Still somewhat out of balance. Not worth the price point I'm afraid.

Opaque purple color with alluring cherry, black raspberry, violet, leather and vanilla aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied, and persistent with mouth-watering acidity, and polished tannins that lend to its supple and elegant character. It shows focused black currant, blackberry, red plum and vanilla flavors with a hint of cola. Long finish.

Such dark purple color. Gorgeous deep currants and blackberries, with roasted herbs, smashed rocks, iron, violets, some tobacco and clove, such aromatic complexity to unpack. Full and sturdy on the palate but some freshness despite the density. Gorgeous, deep fruit (plums, currants, blackberry), mixed with smoke, roasted chestnut, smashed rocks, minerals, some vanilla coffee and coconut but mixed in well. Long time ahead. All Cabernet from the Silverado Vineyard, aged 18 months in about half new French oak.

Was expecting more at this price point. 100 percent cabernet that would be better with the addition of other blending grapes. A bit over-extracted.

Very good, but sadly not as great as expected. Et voila, a nice Cali Cab.
