Nothing wrong here, but nothing exceptionally right either. Fruit is beginning to give way to oxidative notes, but the structure remains persistent. Well-made but seems to be lacking point of view and originality.

100% Cabernet blended with juice from six different vineyard sites. Intense purple color. Savory aromas of herbs, rose petals and cocoa mesh well with the extremely dark fruit aromas. Black fruit flavors with are supported by spices and vanilla. Nice touch of menthol on the finish. The tannins are nicely balanced by just enough acidity. Nice!

I do like this style. Chewy cab, with nice ripe fruit, very prevalent cedar notes, and still a good grip from tannins. Drink it now, or don't. Probably hold at this level for 3 more years. After that it'll be soften more than I typically like, but that's just MY preference - yours may be different, and that's okay!

We have discovered L’Ecole wines need to be decanted for about an hour. They open up and the flavors change. Without this, I agree it is not a $40 bottle.
This is a solid cab, but not spectacular. Not overly jammy. Get solid dark fruit flavors, but there is a “tang” on the back end that doesn’t finish well.
There are a lot of other wines for around $40 and less I like better.

Everything to love in a Washington Cab. Nice cherry fruit countered with a chocolate base. Tannins and acid play off perfectly in the mouth. Also played nicely with some Manchego cheese.

Big, typical Washington cabernet that's a bit closed right now. The grape is evident but it lacks delineation and excitement beyond that. Needs more rest.
This is not at all what I expected, especially for a 100% Cabernet priced at $40. Ripe and sweet mild tannins, acidity is flabby. No significant structure to this jammy mess. Too sweet. This performance would be acceptable at $15 or maybe even $20.

Pretty much the same as before. Some tobacco and earthy like elements this time, bold tannins, full-bodied.

Wow quite impressive. Dense layered fruit and grainy tannins. Nice long finish.
