This wine was exposed to prolonged heat but still performed very well. Leather, Stone, med acid. Nice structure and medium finish. If treated well, it could last another 5 yrs.

Decanted in glass for about 30 minutes. Blackberry and plumb on the nose, a bit of spice as well. Flavors of dark fruit, graphite, and a hint of chocolate/coffee on the back end. Did not have with any food. Would be perfect with a nice grilled ribeye! I think this has another 5 years left and looking forward to enjoying again. 8 bottles to go.

Ready now though can sit a while longer I think. Mature nose with all the typical Bordeaux funk, medium body, medium finish. Tannins are resolved and the wine is just shy of silky.

2.5 hour decant. Nice ruby red/brick color. Nose of dark fruit, rasberry, cherry along with chocolate and tobacco. Palate quite fruity with some earthy undertones, fairly strong tannic backbone and medium finish. Seems to have integrated a bit since last bottle two years ago.

Beautiful color, purple in the center and ruby on the edges. Very nice nose right out of the bottle, with red fruits, dark chocolate and coffee. The wine is medium bodied and manages to have a huge amount of flavor without overwhelming my palate and my dinner. It has a nice mix of old world and new world flavors, and the Cab Franc gives it a gaminess that I really like. Drinking really well right now, but should last for a long time. I wish I had a few more bottles!

Lovely texture and weight. Blackberry, vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee with very nice balancing acidity. This has a bit too much oak at this point for my taste but the silkiness seems to win me over. Nice wine.

This wine has been under the radar since its release last year. Surprisingly approachable since release, I've already gone through 6 bottles in the past years with consistent note. No decanting necesary, the wine opens with blooming bouquet of tobacco, ash, loam and a hint of refreshing citrus aroma. On the palete, the wine is mideum bodies with round tannin and noticable acidity for balance, in a good way. The finish is not long, but no harsh residual tannin or bitterness. Easy to enjoy now as a clearly Merlot domniated blend from the Right Bank. Excellent QPR for approx. $30. This wine is now officially the "house pour" when Right Bank Bordeaux is requested.

Multiple layers on this very enjoyable wine. Nose of blackberries, cassis and leather with green grassy notes at first although this quickly dissipated. Medium weight with smooth tannins. Very expressive palate with lots of black and red fruit, leather, tobacco leaf and a hint of vanilla. A little reminiscent of a rhone. A touch of astringency and bitterness at this point so I'll probably wait a couple of years before drinking again. Good potential and I'd deifnitely buy again.

Animal blood, vanilla, black berries, spices and espresso on the expressive nose. Balanced palate with sweet wood, black fruit, coffee, spices, tobacco, vanilla and refreshing acidity. Already accessible, but will get better with some bottle age. Maybe a tad less serious than the Malescot St. Exupery I tasted at the same time, but a good wine nonetheless. I let it breath until this evening and hope it doesn't close down.

Love the dirty dirty. Getting a good amount of stinky, bleu cheese on the finish. Nice mouthfeel, some tannins, some sweet fruit oin the nose - its there. Need a few more of these - these wil last 10-15 in my opinion.

Dark in color this Wine gives off aroma of vanilla, almond, dark chocolate, and dark jammy fruits. The body is full with nice chewey tannis and a long finish. Great value! -JD

opened and decanted for 2 hours: nose: upon first sniff it's very earthy and vegetal but fresh, at one point i smelled manure. it definitely has blackberry smell and some kind of citrus zest taste: after decanting for a couple of hours - chewy, and meaty. quite tannic at first, mellows out a little but tannins still there for days. at the end i taste very overt aged runny cheese that lasts for a while. oral experience sticks with you for ages. very subtle blanched almonds maybe at the very, very end. definitely, definitely way too young to drink now. have a second bottle and very excited for it.

Nose: Chocolate, dark grape, aged cheese, leather, and a hint of birch. A hint of purple gummy and vanilla frosting. Could use a bit more time in the cellar but worth tasting now if you are considering a case. JJC

Plum, spice...a little young but will open up in a couple - few years. Worth stocking up on while available...this is one of those Bordeaux that you will read about in 2 years and wish you bought more.

Dark inky purple. Earth tones with some dark fruit, cherry. Nice finish. Not long and lingering, but clean. Not great but nice. No regret in having 5 more bottles.

Modern styled St. Emilion, that was better on the third then the first day of tasting. The wood needs to integrate, so give this a few more years bottle rest.
