Tasted alongside the '16 over two days (both purchased at an auction). Delicious and quite giving from PnP. Very bright raspberry/cranberry fruit with a floral element to the nose. The softer of the two wines without any obtrusive sense of tannin, but with enough acid to balance out the sweetness of the fruit. While the consensus seemed the '16 was the better bottle, this was delicious in its own right.

consistent with other tasting posts, very bright even after 48 hours open, better on days 2 and three, more savory. I didn’t pick up much if any funk on the nose yet. Very elegant.

Very fruit forward, with the savory and wild elements of Mourvèdre hiding in the background. I will leave my other bottles a while to let the funk emerge.

Prompted by the announcement of the next Dirty & Rowdy release, I grabbed a bottle of this and pulled the cork. Immediately it was a riot of flowers. Bright red fruit followed, then dusty, sun-drenched herbs. After a small glass, I put it aside for a couple of hours. With the extra air the elements came together as a seamless whole, and added a touch of freshly grilled burger. The fruit also darkened a bit, becoming less strawberry, and more dark cherry. There was not too much tannic structure, with vibrant acidity largely keeping things aligned. The mouthwatering finish focused on the savory. Drink now and for the next decade. Glad I have a bunch to follow.

Opened for a party, enjoyed by wine aficionados and newbies alike. Medium body with layers of perfumed fruit, great acidic lift. Opened 2 hours before serving. Buy more!

Decanted the wine for an hour prior to pouring a glass. Fragrant nose of blackberries, black currant, and rhubarb notes with lots of purple flowers. Subtle vanilla bean coming through with the oak. On the palate there is black fruits baking spice with a hint of black liquorice on the finish. Medium body and well-balanced. Medium plus finish. A very enjoyable wine overall, I'm sure it will improve with another 3-5 years of age.

Like other D&R wines this starts lively, acidic, almost effervescent then turns softer with air and time in glass. Beautiful fragrant nose of berries and flower garden after rainstorm. Medium weight in mouth. Soft tannins that fade. Juicy palate but not sweet, plus cinnamon, clove, and dust. Another good wine to ponder while drinking.

I forgot to do the recommended 1 hr decant, so this took about 30 min to open. C: Much darker than either Skinner Flat mourved N: Yes P: Dark, deep, very long and brooding. Much more contemplative than either Skinner Flat mourvedre. Very even over its length. A touch of thickness, notes of dark fruits, closer to traditional mourveds. Medium weight. NB: as of the 2016 vintage this is called Rodnick Farm 11/7/19: (approx) Deep, dark and compelling. Just pulls you gently along. And it still has miles to go. Wonderful mourvèdre character, how do they keep doing that? Bravo Hardy, just loved this one! NB: future vintages will be named "Rodnick Farm", due to a change of ownership.

A different wine like many D R wines. Bright fruit. Let other two wait at least 2 more years.

Another joyous and delicious D and R- the balance here between fruit, acidity, and funk is perfect as always. How are they always on point?
