  • This was the 2nd bottle in my cellar to be opened. I had high hopes and this didn't disappoint, but it didn't totally wow me either. To start the wine opened nicely and had rich floral aromas followed by a nice balanced taste and finish. My disappointment was the fact it finished slightly sweet, which for me is why I rated the bottle so low. (I am not into any type of sweet wine), but all other aspects of this wine showed well. I am planning on calling the winery and finding out if their next level Chardonnay has the same sweetness or if it's more dry. Still in all a nice wine at a good price point.

  • Nice straw yellow color. Floral aroma, with hints of honeysuckle? Flavors of both green apple and pear jump out at you, and there are hints of butter hiding in there somewhere. Nice balanced acidity. In my opinion, this Chardonnay is not the best napa wine out there by any means, but I enjoyed it very much. The price is very acceptable for the quality you are getting. Would highly recommend taking a tour of the vineyard and the castle (probably one of the most interesting places to visit in napa).
