This was a tannic, leathery, tarry monster even after an hour decant, Tasted alongside the '15 BD which was much more accessible from the get-go. However, once we sat down to a table of grilled cowboy cut ribeyes the '14 came alive. It was still tarry & leathery but with a savoury core of black cherry jam, sage and a bit of smoke. Really terrific - not for cocktailing! Well done, Mary!

A very decent and balanced red blend based, I think, on cabernet, but the community price shown here is surprising. Tasted more like $25 than almost $40.
