Truly a wow wine. Not sure Grenache can be any better. Decanted for 6 hours, tannins still present but resolving. Will be great for the next 10+ years. Blue/blackberry previously noted has evolved to more cherry and ripe red berry nose and palate amped to the 9s. Big and bold, finish that never quits. Will be hard to keep from opening the remaining half case for more than a few more years. Excellent

Absolutely prototypical grenache-based CDP. Pure, fresh blueberry nose and taste. Lovely stuff. Both Usseglios make wonderful Chateauneuf, but this is one of my all-time favorites.

Dense, dense wine. Delightful ripe blackberries and dark cherries with a finish that lasts for over 2 minutes. It’s still young and the oak is more prevalent at this stage in its life, but wow what a wine! Will open the next bottle in 2022-23, and expect improvement in the score, possibly approaching triple digits by 2025 and beyond.

The 2015 'Reserve des Deux Freres' Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a mammoth of a wine. The 100% Grenache opens to profound aromas of ripe blackberries and dark cherries which are woven together with violets, smoke and spices. On the palate this is full-bodied and remarkably dense, with a rich, opulent mouthfeel. It continues to impress with its outstanding depth and concentration and layers of ripe dark fruits envelope the palate and leave behind an ultra-long finish. A massive wine, but everything is held into place nicely. Allow this another year or two to tone down just a bit, and enjoy over the course of the following decade-plus. (Best 2020-2034)

Wow, huge nose, loads of super ripe black cherries, super meaty BBQ, the vanilla from the wood is present and still needs to integrate a little bit... Very very concentrated taste of fresh and ripe, super sappy cerise griotte... BRAVO!!

Roasted black cherries nose, hint of coffee, hint of licorice... Taste of ripe black cherries , loads of ripe black cherries, 30 sec aftertaste, great potential, but still painfully young!

Really nice after a 3 hour slow ox, could still feel some tannic structure that needs to shake out.

Needed a couple hour decant to soften up, still a little tight but paired well with grilled ribeye

Lots of heat at open. Slow ox’d for 3hrs and improved but best with food, nice dark character but missing a level of complexity at this point.

Needed 2 hrs in my opinion to come alive and put on some weight. It was beautiful - deep blue layered with bright red fruits. Excellent.
