13.5% abv. 400 cases. Recent auction purchase. Plenty of classic Anderson Valley Pinot character here, with plenty of fruit and a strong acidic streak. Medium-light weight, unfiltered mouthfeel, a bit cloudy towards the last of the bottle. Really enjoyed this and went surprisingly well with carnitas. Drinking very well at the moment but this has the stuffing and structure to last for a while and perhaps improve.

Light garnet color. Pretty aromatics- primary and secondary with medium intensity. Notes throughout of fig & pomegranate fruit, hibiscus, tea & clove spice, mushroom & forest/earth. Opens with bright red fruits, light-to-medium bodied, with densely layered secondary depth. Really nice rich phenolics and weight on the mid-palate, bright integrated acid, and fine silky tannins. Finishes with juicy and dry fruit, moderate length. Really nice bottle, showing well.

A pleasant wine with the dark cherry and spice that exemplifies Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, but with a little bitterness on the finish and lacking a bit of complexity. Better with food than on its own at the moment.

Tasty. Nice balanced fruit, French style of lighter layers. Would buy more, tad pricey, and lots of good/better options at this level, would be better situated around $30

Anderson Valley, July 2: Aromas of baking spice, fig, dried hibiscus, red cherry- open red fruit on the palate with nuanced floral spice notes. Elegant texture and weight, medium acidity & fine tannin. Lingering spice and dried herb on the finish. Very nice.
